For the 70th edition of the Mosaic Mix Series Andrea Cichecki offers up 100 minutes of deep and dubbed out minimalism.

Born in the Netherlands with Polish roots, Andrea has, for over two decades, performed as a DJ across Europe in renowned clubs such as Club der Visionaere, Hoppetosse, Tresor and About Blank. 

As well as releasing her own productions on labels such as Telrae and Rotate Andrea works as a music producer and audio engineer at Castle Studios outside Dresden

Although it was my first time mixing all of this music together after collecting most of it during 2022, and not as tight as I would like it, it was definitely a nice vibe at the time...hope you enjoy! Mixed on Varia Instruments RDM40, 2x CDJ-3000, 1x Technics 1200m3d, under the influence of several amazing cocktails...

Not only to add to the quality are the breadth of releases that he’s accrued over the years. Working through ambient, to breaks and minimal house and back again. You can just tell how his passion for the craft is the guiding hand.

As with his productions, his selections for today are top notch, leading to one of those mixes that will keep your head nodding along for the duration. Full to the brim with that signature dance ready style that we’ve come to know and love with the Italian DJ and producer.

Chuang Tzu was a philosopher in ancient China, who, one night went to sleep and dreamed that he was a butterfly. He dreamt that he was flying around from flower to flower and while he was dreaming he felt free, blown about by the breeze hither and thither. He was quite sure that he was a butterfly. But when he awoke he realised that he had just been dreaming, and that he was really Chuang Tzu dreaming he was a butterfly. But then Chuang Tzu asked himself the following question: "was I Chuang Tzu dreaming I was a butterfly or am I now really a butterfly dreaming that I am Chuang Tzu?"
