Ahead of his performance at the Dutch "Planet Paradigm: A One Day Trip" festival, which will take place on the 28th of May, we are delighted to have back Voigtmann on the mix series. Almost four years after his first appearance on our platform, the visionary London-based DJ, producer, and label owner continues to impress with his crystalline productions and varied yet energetic DJ sets, not changed over the course of time if not for a faster, more driving bpm approach. Again, this mix is filled with spaceship vibes and dancefloor attitude, in a think crack between retro-house and moody electro where Voigtmann truly feels at home. And so we do. Turn up the volume! Berlin-based and Perlon regular wonderkid Felix Hk join our InSession mix series with a 3-hours long mix extracted from his opening set at SOLID AM showcase that took place at Zenner few weeks ago. An impeccable selection of tracks that set the tone for the 12+ hours marathon event that featured Ricardo Villalobos, Laidlaw, Sonja Moonear among others.

After an outstanding set at Get Perlonized in Bucharest last year, we set our eyes on Felix and this mix is only anticipating his debut with us, taking place in few months at Gottwood Festival 2023, where he will open our stage on Saturday 10/06

Sammy Dee needs very little introduction, his 20+ years involvement with Perlon and Get Perlonized events are evidence to his legacy who is an example as such that we have as role model. 

One thing I can talk about extensively however is him as a Dj. Sammy possesses an extremely wide taste in music and a record collection that follows that,  crossing over many genres of music. His ability to adapt to day or night sets, early or late slots and so on  is incredibly precise, as seen here at Sunwaves Festival last May. He was handing over to Dragos Ilici who crossed over to Binh. Please note that this set has intro / middle and ending, a feature that should be standard to us all but surprisingly it is not, hence my emphasis on it, it is a beautiful progression and killer structure. 

Sammy was one of my first bookings for the Toi.Toi.Parties and has been a close friend ever since.  I lost my shit during this set at Sunwaves with him and when finding out it was recorded I pestered him to allow me to release it as it has been on 'repeat' ever since. 

My due respect and thankfulness to this amazing soul and artist I truly admire.

Zip is co-founder of the label Perlon, is familiar with the dancefloors around the world and famous for his tremendous minimal shifts within the 4/4 scheme. He has an illustrious musical history which began in 1986 as singer in the band Second Voice. In 1992 he moved to Frankfurt and joined the EBM band Bigod 20. After several releases the band split. In 1996 he got together with Markus Nikolai and Chris Rehberger to form the audio-visual project Pile. In 1997 he and Nikolai founded the Perlon label, on which he has released under the pseudonyms Dimbiman, Pantytec (with Sammy Dee) and Narcotic Syntax (with James Dean Brown). In 1999 the SuPERLONgevity compilation was released, featuring 'Bushes', a track that has since garnered chart-topping remixes from the likes of Derrick Carter and Fatboy Slim.

Zip also recorded with Peter "Baby" Ford and has appeared on Ford's label PAL SL. He is a regular guest DJ in clubs around the world and holds residencies at Robert Johnson (Offenbach) and the Panorama Bar (Berlin). He participates in the Narod Niki project, occasional collective laptop live jams initiated by Ricardo Villalobos and Richie Hawtin. He has released tracks and remixes on Perlon, Playhouse, Force Inc, Novamute and others.
