Premiere at Sonorities festival of the new collaboration between Marta Zapparoli and xname.
From her new ongoing project, Marta Zapparoli transfer Inaudible sound recordings on self build tape boards with extended tape head made by ribbon placed on soft platform. She also detect in real time EM fields with the EMF detector from the reel to reel tape machine's motor and batteries.
Building on her experience in audiovisual art and light controlled electronic music, for this performance xname will manipulate invisible parts of the spectrum, sending electromagnetic frequencies across the space, creating patterns and cybernetic interferences that, shifting frequencies and sensorial domains, will be sensed in real-time, finally hitting the spectator in the form of sound waves.
