Inviting some of the scenes most influential and exciting artists to take part interviews, sharing there own experience within the industry and treating us to a very special 1 hour live mix from Threads HQ.

As we approach the 21st edition of my invites series. We travel across the North Atlantic to introduce one live performance artist who has recently catch the attention of many. 

Originally hailing from California, USA. Lonefront is an artist who’s passion for electronic music rose from his earlier years as a guitarist. 

Now residing in Minneapolis, which has earned its own respect in the underground community. With artists such as DVS1 at its centre. 

Lonefront otherwise know has Ross Hutchins. Has been inspiring many with his live performances. With great attention to detail, creating & transitioning between perfectly executed pieces that takes us on the journey we all crave. His latest work was a supported by none other than DVS1. Where he released a live recording from one of Lonefront’s recent jams at DVS1 highly respect future classic warehouse. 

He also featured 1 track on our last VA on platform 22. We are proud to announce his second release with up with us. A split EP with myself which is due to be released soon.  It was only right to have Ross join us on the series. 

Tomorrow night we find out more about Lonefront’s journey so far and why he has been drawn to Techno so much. All wrapped up with a one hour live recording straight from his studio for all our listening pleasure.

Episode 22

April is here and the road to recovery is underway. For the 22nd episode we return back to the UK as I welcome Brighton Based Szeir onto the show. 

Originally from Munich, Germany. 
Szeir real name, Malte Rieß. Is one artist who has had my admiration for a while. His love for Techno music is firmly routed as far back as his parents. Not only is Malte passionate about techno his vast understanding of reggae music and sound system culture is deep to. Something which he adopted during his 9 years here living In the UK. 

His Heavytone Hi-Fi dances have been a great achievements for himself and his team. With a fortnightly event dedicated to the music and its heritage. 

His most recent work was an EP released on Assumption’s Canticle Records. A four tracker purely designed for the floor. His productions carry an infectious groove that has adapted to his signature style and has earned him the deserved respect as a producer.

Next up on the Invite series is one of Portugal’s influential Techno artists VIL 

Real name Nuno Costa, has been one artist who’s had my admiration since the beginning. With his outstanding productions being a highlight on dance floors all over. 

His Hayes collective label has been a milestone for Portugal’s scene. With an impressive discography featuring Portugal’s increíble talents. It’s fair to say that this group of friends are passionate about their music and the community it brings. 

In our conversation tonight I found out more about Nuno’s background and where it all began for him. Plus an exclusive drop on his forthcoming releases and loads more.

London’s Lee Novell aka 'XONO' has been playing with grooves, creating moods and layering textures for some time now. His love for dance & rhythms stems from his early years listening throughout the night to pirate radio stations as far his antenna would reach. 

This passion for radio and DJ culture can be heard in his very own monthly XONO Invites radio series. Which he carefully produces himself to showcase the freshest House & Techno artists around which he's established to contribute to the scene and support artists with the same vision and appreciation for the sound he loves. 
Now creating his own ideas with rhythmic grooves and textures through production. His unique sound can heard through his co-owned Imprint Platform 22, Which is run by himself and Kai Hickinson (FLAWS)  

XONO's Career is still at its early stage but an artist with so much passion and dedication is one to surely exceed and excel.

Next to running the quality label Platform22 together with FLAWS, he runs is own radio show XONO Invites on Threads Radio where he interviews artists on a regular basis and gives them the chance to present their music and talk about their inspirations. This time XONO delivers a summer groover that is patiently waiting to be played on open airs throughout the whole summer and manifests his signature style even more, which is: always on point.

I can’t believe it’s already been two years since the start of my Invites series. 

Joining me for this special edition is an artist who needs no introduction. Overtime he has rightly earned his place as a world class act. Embracing DJ booths and stages internationally, whilst maintaining an incredible work ethic in his Berlin based studio. 

It’s with great excitement that i welcome Setaoc Mass onto the show. Real name Sam Coates originally hails from Manchester, UK. He is an artist who’s had all of our attention over previous years with his outstanding releases and incredible DJ sets. His label “SK Eleven” has recently been a lead player in our industry. With its sub project “SK Eleven-X” creating the most recent hype. With EPs from Rene wise, Yant, Arkan and many more amazing emerging artists 

In our conversation this Friday you quickly latch on to discover Sam’s passion and dedication towards the scene and the music we love. He explains his earlier years starting off and how he transitioned from music lover to full time career.

Last month we celebrated 2 years of my invites residency and now as we embark onto the next chapter. It is with great excitement to welcome the first female duo onto the show. 

These 2 talented artists have been everybody’s go to duo in recent years. Their incredible DJ sets have caught the attention of almost everyone. Mixing records in an outstanding fashion whilst creating the perfect atmosphere on the dancefloor. 

Their Meat Free party’s have also been a leading player in brining some of the best acts there is to the North of the UK. Talking with Steffi we find out more about their background into music and how they managed to stay honest and open to their sound and the community they believe in.

September’s edition is here and on this episode I am extremely grateful to welcome, Bulgarian artist Ruben Ganev onto the show.

Ruben first caught my attention with his incredible self release on his own Mould Audio imprint. Since he has continued to present his sound in a way that’s unique and outstanding to say the least. 

Based on Sofia, Bulgaria where he also hold his “СКИТНИК” events alongside fellow artists from his scene. Speaking with Ruben tonight we find out more about his musical background and how he structures his workflow in the studio. This month I give a warm welcome to, Franz Jäger

Myself and Franz have been in contact over the last couple of years now and since day one his sound has been inspirational and flawless to say the least. With some outstanding releases on labels such as Hayes, Schimmer & Diffuse reality just to name a few. His minimalistic style of production has gained some well deserved support from some the industries leading figures. 

Based in Stockholm, Sweden. Franz has been carefully curating his unique sound since 2016 with previous experiments in Dubstep and Drum & bass. I think it’s safe to say that Franz passion for Electronic music is certainly no joke.

On tonight’s episode I find out more about Franz earlier years as a producer and what lead him to where he is now. Plus a little insight into his workflow whilst in the studio and a incredible guest mix to see out this month's episode.

On this months episode we welcome SYXT & Glukkon records co-founder KETCH onto the series. 

Currently situated in Tuscany, Italy. 
Ketch has been catching the attention of many during the last year or so. With his prolific studio output being nothing but inspirational to say the least. His infectious style has gained support from many artists alike and It’s more then likely to hear at least one of his tracks in their recent sets or podcasts. 

Me being a lover of the minimalist approach to grooves and rhythms I can say his tracks really make you move. Continuously improving his craft and image whilst managing two successful labels says a lot about this artists drive and passion towards his journey. 

On tonight’s episode we explore Ketch’s story growing up and how he became the artist he is today. Plus a little insight into his current studio set up and how his recent SYXT label night went down at Suicide Circus, Berlin last weekend.

As we approach the end of the year I wanted to shine a light on one London artist who has already done so much for the scene and it’s community. Please welcome, Theo Komp.

Real name, Theofanis Kosmopoulos has been a leading figure in the London’s Underground scene for almost a Decade now. With his Minimal force party’s allowing artist's based on their talent and not the hype.
A chance to perform, release and be apart of their fantastic community. Theo is someone I would consider myself as a purist and a true lover of the music and it’s scene.

He also manages a pretty impressive career for himself doing what he loves and still does to this day. Whether that be Teaching music production or playing Gigs himself he makes it very clear that that music is his only passion.

On tonight’s episode I find out about Theo’s introduction to Electronic music. What made him consider teaching. And what the real drive is behind his own weekly minimal force showcases.

2022 is here and kicking off our 3rd year of XONO Invites is one Manchester based artist. Who is slowly building a outstanding reputation due to his pro active workflow. Gracing dance floors with his own unique sound that’s has been gaining tremendous support and respect for the 30 year old producer /DJ. Alex Is one artist who I have been supporting and staying in contact with for some 3+ years now. Since we first exchanged conversation I noticed his passion for the scene we all love and his incredible volume of music says it all. 

During the pandemic the support for his music grew fonder. With some of the scenes leading figures playing at least one A.Morgan track in their streams or podcasts. This lead to Alex recently being invited to play at one of Manchester’s favourite Techno party’s "Meat Free".

As we move forward into 2022 it is already looking promising for Alex. With 3 record releases already planned. One of them coming out as early as next week on New Rhythmic records. It was a honour to Invite Alex onto the show. 

During this Episode we find out a little more about A.Morgan’s background to into electronic music. Plus his thoughts on sharing Demos,Sampling and how he approaches each session in the studio.

Myself and Bido connected just before the start of the pandemic. 
My first impressions where amazed by this young producers talent and outlook towards the scene and its community. We begun working together pretty much right away with his first release on our label Platform 22 following shortly after. 

Since then he has firmly made his mark within our scene, with his most recent Release "Couloir Des Insomnies". Being supported and released by one of Techno’s most iconic figures "Truncate". 

Unfortunately like others, This young artist's momentum has been compromised during the last year or so due to the closure of clubs and venues all around the world. Nevertheless 2022 is looking positive for his career and it’s just a matter of time until he reaches a dance floor near you. 

On tonight’s show we gain a little insight into Morocco’s scene and the situation that they are still finding them selfs in since the pandemic. 
We also find out a little bit more about Bido's interest and how he got to the position he is currently in now.

Joining me for the 33rd episode of the show is London based Mikrotakt.  

Real name, Sacha Treasure has been catching a lot of attention recently. With his fresh groove orientated tracks. At just the age of 24 years old Sacha’s knowledge in music production and live sound engineering is impressive to say the least. With a full time job at London’s SAE music college during the week. As well as working as a live sound Engineer in some of the city’s underground venues during the weekend it’s amazing how this guy even finds the time to write so much music. 

Myself and Sacha connected a short while ago and since then I have watched his passion and enthusiasm grow into a deep love for the sound. His music is gaining tremendous support lately from artists alike, including myself. I also had the chance to remix a track on his most recent Intent EP which was for the impressive @01366__ collective. 

On this episode we talk a little deeper about his knowledge in music production and live engineering. We also find out more about his education as child whilst covering his production workflows and his plans going forward.

After a short break the invites series is back and joining me this evening is one the sweethearts of the industry. Please welcome Biri 

Since I heard his releases with Deep’a on their label “Blackcrow”  a few years back.  I have been playing and connecting with his music.

Last year I had the pleasure of meeting him on a dance floor in Manchester. The first thing that admired me was his kindness and passion towards the music and our scene. We have been in contact ever since. Then just back in May this year we had the pleasure of releasing a split EP from Biri & another talented artist called Rhythm Assembler. Luckily on our very own Platform 22 label. 

The year has been promising so far for his career with a bunch of European shows already complete and a load more around the corner. He also has more releases planned on iconic labels such as Figure & Non series as you will hear during our conversation. It’s with great honour to have him finally on the show.

Tonight I wanted to find out more about his journey into music and what it was like for this artist growing up in Jerusalem, Isreal.

Marcal is one artist who has truly made an impression on the scene this year. With superb releases on labels such as Enemy records, Redkids & Token to name a few. His music has been some of the most played in sets from DJ's alike and with two successful European tours already under his belt. It's safe to say that his career is fully underway for 2023.

On this episode I find out how things are for him living in Brazil and the contributions his already making towards the scene there. It was only a matter of time before FLAWS aka Kai Hickinson joined me on my residency.

Since our B2B EP in October last year on his own beloved Platform22 label our friendship has grown enormously. At just the age of 18 his productions have been nothing less then perfection and have catch the eyes of many established artists and promoters through out the scene. Including some of the biggest names in the industry to date DVS1, TWR72 and Steffan Linzatti to name a few. Since his release on SRIE Records Kai has built up a healthy release schedule for him self which has lead to some incredible European bookings later this year. Kai’s attitude towards Techno is truly remarkable for his age and so inspiring for myself and others a like.

On tonight’s Episode I’ll be speaking with Kai about his workflow and how he manages his productions in the studio. 
I’ll also be finding out more about his incredible enthusiasm towards the scene and what he believes is the right way to go on presenting yourself as new artist.

For the eleventh edition of my Invite series I had the pleasure of inviting Dutch native “Optics” real name Abel Kneulman onto the show. 

21 year old "Optics" sound is one of pure dub and groove. Based in Amsterdam he has had an already impressive release schedule with releases on labels such as Warok, Format and Dynamic reflections to name a few. His latest release really set a mark for this talented young producers career, gaining support from some of the best around. With another release planned and a split EP with Yant on our own Platform 22 label Optics is one artist who is truly dedicated to the sound and the scene. 


In our interview, I asked Optics a few questions on where his journey begun and what steps he had to take to get to where he is now. We also cover a lot of his studio set up and his own personal tips on making it work.

For this special anniversary edition of my invite series. I am extremely delighted to welcome Rene Wise on to the show. 

Real name “Andrew Shobeiri” has been making some immense progress within the industry so far. With only 2 years on the professional circuit this talented young artist as managed to do some things only other artists can dream of.

With two outstanding releases on Luke Slaters infamous "Mote Evolver" label, as well as two unforgettable shows at Berlin’s world renounced Berghain. Whilst managing to gain the attention of some the best in the scene. But its well deserved for this passionate producer, Spending hundreds of hours carefully creating his unique sound which is infectious with rhythm and pure groove. His dedication and commitment to the music really speaks for it self. Since his arrival he has managed to maintain and adapt to challenging demand of the industry. In return he has been able to travel internationally showcase his sound as far as South Africa and many others places. 

On this episode i asked Rene about his journey so far and what it’s taken for him to get to the top of his game in such a short period of time. Plus he had contributed a guest mix that will dance you through to the early early hours.

On this months episode I was delighted to invite Berlin based Kaan Pirecioglu on to the show. Kaan has made some immense progress with his career so far. Within only a few years he has managed to put out two amazing releases. With his latest on Italy’s Methodical label, which gained incredible support from some of the leading players in the scene. 

His infectious grooves and signature production qualities are one that cannot  go unnoticed. His next release, a Split EP with Berlin’s Elias DE on our very own platform 22 is a fine example of that. It was really just a matter of time until this enthusiastic artist joined me on the series.

In our interview we cover kaan’s inspiration for the music we love and the production software he uses. Plus a special 1 hour guest mix from the man himself.

So here we are, as we approach the 14th episode of my Invite series, it’s with great pleasure that i welcome Chilean based DJ & producer Marcelo Antonio. 

Marcelo is an artist I have been supporting on my show since the beginning. His productions are a true interpretation of a Scfi journey full of hypnotic bleeps and grooves. His passion for Techno is nothing less than inspiring with an impressive release schedule to date including an album on Gotshells “Alss Records”. He also took part in our Elements VA on platform 22. Since he has gained some well deserved support from artists far and wide. 

His approach to the scene is one of pure integrity, which is outstanding for this 25 year old artist. In our conversation tomorrow night we touch upon on how things are for him being in Latin America during this time. Plus his DJing experiences to date and production setup.

We are back once again and it’s with great pleasure that I welcome Yant onto the series. 

Real name Andrew Tomlinson is one artist who has had my attention since the moment we met. His infectious sound has made waves across the industry with releases on labels such as Blackaxon, SK Eleven and South Africa’s Knowledge imprint. Gaining support from artists such as DVS1, Setoac Mass & Freddy K etc, it’s no surprise what this talented young artist has managed to achieve so far.

We are back once again for another episode of my Invites series and for this particular show we travel around the globe to shine a light on one of Melbournes leading influential Techno artists - Fergus Sweetland 

Fergus is someone who caught my attention just over a year ago with his very own Bomphcast project. A combination of artist interview podcasts and the most recent Bomphcast Audio record label. Which has already made waves across the scene with only 1 release so far. Fergus attitude is one that can’t go unnoticed, his passion and dedication towards the scene is outstanding and as you will find out in our interview he is very humble and grateful for every opportunity and the support he receives. 

He is truly an artist who has given every spare moment to his beliefs and hasn’t quit once. With 10+ years on the circuit Its now more rewarding then ever for him. Has his recent release on the impressive Hayes collective gained him major   Recognition for his infectious rhythmic grooves.

During our conversation I find out more about Fergus’s introduction into Techno music and what he set outs to accomplish in the near future.

Episode 17 is almost here and for this months show we welcome label owner, promoter and DJ, VOLSTER 

Based in Osijek, Croatia Volster is an artist I have admired for some time now. He first caught my attention with his “Out of place” label, a project co-owned with his partner Insolate. Since then he has gone on to achieve incredible things for in his career and for his scene. Including his first gig at the infamous Berghain back in September last year. 

His “TRAUM” events have been a highlight for the Osijek scene carefully curating and inviting some of worlds most interesting artists. 

His latest project, a solo run label called “Secessions” built purposely to project is own tastes in Techno.  With the next release due on November 6th where he invites the very talented Dutch national Hitam with 4 dance floor ready cuts that have already been gaining some fantastic support.

XONO INVITES: Eric Axelsson

It’s that time again & what a pleasure it is. I have carefully curated a special episode for you tomorrow night. As I welcome Swedish funk master Eric Axelsson onto the series. 

I have been in contact with Eric since his first release on Platform 22 back in April this year. His attitude and taste has been inspiring to say the least. 
With a compelling twist between House a Techno his music takes you on a journey of soul and happiness. His desire for hardware is admirable along with a work ethic unlike most others. With an approach that is honest and true to he is tastes the future is looking bright for this talented young artist. 

On the show we talk about his love for hardware and the process he undertakes in the studio. Along with his new label project. Which is soon to put out it’s first vinyl release from Eric himself.

On Monday the 25th of January my XONO Invites series returns for a particular special broadcast to celebrate Threads radio 2nd birthday. Joining me for this special edition is Parisian born, Berlin  based Arkan 

Founder & co-founder of record labels such as Drawner & Autonome records. Arkan, real name William Fremaux is an intriguing artist that has been inspiring many. His labels have been selectively releasing music from some of the talented new artists that are currently emerging in the scene. Some of which have been gaining support from the some industry leading figures. 

Amongst all this he has been working extensively to craft his sound and advance his capabilities in the studio. With all his hard work beginning to pay off with a forthcoming release on the highly respected SK11X a label co-ordinated and run by setaoc Mass. 

In our conversation tonight we cover Arkan’s approach to the way he creates, How basic musical composition can be of benefit to the early producer and his thoughts and feelings on his forthcoming release. All wrapped up with an incredible guest mix of unreleased music selected specially for the show.

As we approach our second show of 2021 it’s with great pleasure to welcome Tunisian born, Clotur onto the series. 

Real name Akrem Amous, is an artist that most know. His highly respected Warok Music label as been putting out great music in the past and present. Inviting some of the best around onto its catalogue. His also had an impressive release schedule, releasing on labels such as, BLOCAUS, The gods planet. Just a few to say the least.

I have been looking forward to our conversation for a while now. Excited to find out more about his Tunisian routes and how his background played a part to where he is now. All wrapped up with a amazing 1 hour guest mix to take us into the early hours.
