Ella Hussle is a Brooklyn artist, creator, influencer and small-business owner, and whether it is behind the decks and soundboard or in the kitchen mixing butter, her hustle is undeniable. Originally from Las Vegas, Ella's DJ career blossomed in New York City in 2015, where she independently secured residencies at notable venues including Pianos, The Rivington and The Delancey ultimately leading her to international opportunities such as being the opening DJ for the Yuna Chapter Tour. Throughout her evolving DJ career, Ella has had the pleasure of collaborating with reputable companies including YouTube, WaxxxFM, Verizon, Footaction, Serato and Hypebae for an array of projects from happy hours and mixtape curation to commercials and community sessions. Most recently, Ella solidified a DJ duo with fellow artist and West-Coast native, La La, and together they have curated a monthly party called SWAPMEET, which aims to highlight an eclectic mix of music, personalities and West Coast energy in East Coast spaces such as Kinfolk 94, Sultan Room and Rise Radio. Her sound is a combination of R&B, house and funk with a harmonious balance of electronic, alternative rock and garage.

This is the first mix I've ever released under another platform, and one that I am hella proud of. While it's not technically seamless, this specific blend of tracks is the purest expression of how I've been feeling and expressing myself lately. Many of these songs have been the soundtrack of my last few months since moving to New York at the end of January, developing along with my personal journeys in the house & vogue dance forms that I practice, my gender expression, and my adventures around the city. 

To me this mix feels in the pocket, and a specific one — empowering deep and acid house that hits hard but still maintains a cunty feel, with their respective sexy moans and vocals, complemented by ballroom tracks that punch... and of course, a sprinkle of soul & groove to make sure you're really in your happy feels. 

This mix literally feels like the inside of my brain - each song tied to memories and ideas and inspiration and other parts of myself. I am grateful to have been offered this platform to share it. Thank you for listening. <3
