ghost kids(@xoxghostkid) reflects: "Shattering the numbing monotomy of the city there is life. In the creavaces and cracks of the greyness we fight for space and existance. We dream, celebrate, and  love in our parallel universe- but the world doesn’t stay outside for long. We face attacks, mourn, are angry. We persevere. We claim spaces  both in spite and because of the metropolis.
This set aims to encapture both the feelings of community and being seen in fought-for spaces as well as those that come with the attacks and violence these very communities are subjected to. It especially references the queer scene through use of interview audio from the 1990 documentary 'Paris is Burning'."

@xoxghostkid is a queer kid & feminist killjoy from Aachen. ghost kid is founder of Revolting Queers, a party which has been happening in the AZ Aachen twice a year since 2018. Apart from this heart-and-soul project, they recently helped create the feminist techno soli-party Hysteria. Always looking forward to being part of creating more space for queer feminist events, ghost kid is exciteable for different sorts of music ranging from dark, experimental to fun, more danceable sounds.

_C O N C E P T__
The exhibition and lecture series "The Language of the City - Architecture between Normalized Views and Aesthetic Subjectivity" was dedicated to two contradictory aspects: 

1) the potential for creative expression offered by the examination of architecture using contemporary digital technologies;
2) and the context of neoliberal enrichment economy and urban politics, which threatens to undermine this potential due to the commercialized presentation of architecture.

Art itself cannot resolve such a tension between aestheticisation and economic appropriation. Through art, however, this tension can be exhibited, experienced and made discursively available to the public. The exhibition pursues this goal by assembling various pictures by different artists, commentary lectures and DJ sets. 
The artistic contributions, which include the sets to be heard here, represent aesthetic interventions. They oppose cultural standardization processes and the post-Fordist economy of enrichment and claims a city worth living in. They thematize utopian and dystopian moments of the relationship between city, living and culture in harmonic to dissonant form.
