Back at our mammoth Stay True Scotland broadcast earlier this month, one track came real close to bringing The Caves' roof down during Nina Kraviz's powerhouse headline set. "I Wanna Go Bang" very nearly executed its titular statement – well, if the song was more about wrecking balls and less about...oh, never mind.

The vocals that stalk the track, so wholly devoid of humanity, rub up against razor-sharp claps and serious bounce in the subs. It's weighty warehouse techno of the highest order, set to devastate dark basements and big tents alike throughout the year. Simply put: Icelandic producer Bjarki has delivered a bomb.

Our latest MIXED BY comes from another steed in https://soundcloud.com/ostgutton-official's stable of veritable techno titans, Berlin by way of New York producer Function (Dave Sumner). With over 20 years of productions under his belt—from the seminal uncredited recordings as Richard Harvey (as found on Richie Hawtin's Decks, EFX & 909 CD) and his highly productive partnership with Regis as Sandwell District to his current collection of recordings as Function, his brand of unflinching techno has driven endless parties at Berghain into serious overtime.

The mix comes courtesy of the recently deceased Great American Techno Festival, which celebrated its fifth and final edition last month. This 100 minute excerpt of Function's four hour appearance features tracks from well over two dozen of techno's top producers mixed live on three CDJs, like Cassigrain, John Tejada, Mark Broom, Joey Beltram and many more. It also spotlights the TR-909 drum machine that Function has started to incorporate into his DJ sets the past year.

Bassiani Podcast’s 16th episode, recorded at the club’s season closing night, comes from Antonin Jeanson, best known as Antigone, whose entry into the world of electronic music has been highly acclaimed with his debut EP "Forbidden Works" on Construct Re-Form back in 2011, followed by releases such as “The Astral Traveller” and “The Deadly Games Of Gamma”. The next step for the Parisian artist was the well-know Token Records, putting out 2 EPs named ”Cantor Dust" and "Saudade” illustrating hypnotic, melodic and melancholic style of his productions. This very personal touch was what gave him the residency at Concrete and has opened the doors of the worlds most respected clubs.

Antigone who is at the forefront of the French techno scene offers up to 130 minute excursion into the mind-bending textures. He builds things quickly, delving deep into his record collection with dark ambience and energetic mood.
