Losing your best friend is worse than losing a loved one, because death is irreversible but when just a phone call away is too large a distance; it hurts. This song is not meant as any type of diss or stab. I love the girl in question but in a different way than I used to. We had our great times but we both have grown too much as people to be stuck in the same sentiments as we were when we were kids. We both understand we need to move on and be happy but unfortunately our paths deviate here. This song isn't meant to be understood by anybody except us two. And don't think I'm blaming her for our current situation, I made my share of mistakes, from multiple instances of verbal abuse and things classified as domestic as well, including shoving the one human that I loved into a shelf. But, don't let that sway your opinion of either of us, I have grown into a much better person and a better man than I was before; it just sadly happened after she dealt with my shit. And she has become an incredibly strong woman that has an immensely bright future. Our friendship will be missed and I'll be able to think back to her as my first real love for the rest of my life... all this is is closure.
