5 tracks torn from a stained industrial fabric , this new offering is an unrelenting foray into abjection and the pleasure it can evoke.

Like the provocations of a previous age grew sentient and withdrew into introspection ‘blank cheque’ reeks of forgotten transgressions, echoing the promise of some lost liberation.

This time around the chords are even colder, the guitars are harsher and the lyrics offer even less solace from the world’s brutalities.

Economic unlivability permeate “blank cheque’s” lyrics, the mundane grind of city life is put on display but this voice behind the noise cant help but suggest a kind of romance, on tracks like ‘coat check’ the way it playfully coaxes you into its dance is palpable.

There is still a sick pleasure in the sound, stop gap has managed to twist grim brutality into a work that infects the mind and entices you towards obsession.

On the winding roads of escape, running away from the burning city's suffocation, in search of air, Cecilia drowns in the thick, elemental romance of Sexilia island.

The landscape oozes and recalls the radical desire of adolescent souls, a chaste and mystical resistance which flutters and strolls above through ditches, railroad edges, highway exits, stinking alleys owned by starving cats.

Sparse and sculptural breaths, the songs are drunk with melancholic infatuation.

“Summer in Sexilia” is a sensory encounter with the great despair in which the lover's courage takes shape once again, sublime, hanging on the memory of the shining stars.

In the hallucinated Summer of Sexilia, the ground trembles, the hands get dirty and the world craves for real tenderness and silent ecstasy.
