Kapoor and Hvitling’s first album, The Odyssey, is monumental. It boasts eight tracks that are generous in terms of length and sophistication. Each has a distinctive feel and predominant mood, balancing intricate sonic arrangements with dynamic and rhythmically pleasant beats. Yet certain ethereal sound textures and melodies make the tracks echo each other, creating a sense of journeying through uncharted waters. Masterfully produced female vocal synths become spectral presences in several tracks, most notably in Vox Diaboli and Vox Angeli. In the former, seductive whispers hiss a rhymed incantation, creating a delightfully spooky atmosphere; while the latter lures the listener into sacred ecstasy with a combination of vibrant synths pristinely arranged with a string orchestra and LFO female vocals. Akumandra’s fourth official vinyl release stays true to its multicultural essence, adding this young Polish and Swedish producer duo to their vinyl catalog.

Alan Fitzpatrick has had a remarkable career to date. Few artists can claim to have headlined Berghain and also had a hit on daytime BBC Radio 1, but then there aren’t many artists like Alan Fitzpatrick. 

One of the most popular techno DJs in the world, he has rubbed shoulders with the likes of Carl Cox and Adam Beyer for the best part of a decade, performing at the world’s biggest clubs and festivals. Known primarily for his raw hard-edged sound, Alan has developed into one of dance music’s most versatile producers, equally at home putting out techno bangers on Drumcode as he is making disco-infused house anthems, or experimental electronica under his 3STRANGE alias, not to mention his impressive range of collaborations (including CamelPhat, Skream and Jamie Jones). 

A proven global headliner and founder of one of the UK’s most exciting new dance imprints ‘We Are The Brave’, Alan now joins forces with the acclaimed UK label Anjunadeep for his most ambitious release to date, and his first album in ten years - ‘Machine Therapy’.
The name derives from the time Alan has spent in his home studio, with the hardware he has collected over the years, the machines offering a sort of therapy during the pandemic. The album sees Alan pull his wide-ranging sounds together into one, coherent project, combining techno, house, breaks and ambient. Drawing on the early days of rave for inspiration, along with the machinery, Alan has fused sci-fi sonics with emotional songs and dystopian samples, which alongside the artwork, transport the listener to his cinematic musical world.

"Janne Puurunen’s, known by his stage name DJ Burdock, passion for music ignited in the late 80s when he discovered the enchanting realm of electronic sounds and began collecting hip hop records. His journey led him to underground warehouse parties in the Turku area, where he was captivated by the electrifying atmosphere.

In 1993, Janne co-founded The X-Rust Organization, an influential collective devoted to promoting underground electronic music.

Janne made his mark as a DJ in 1995 when he adopted the moniker DJ Burdock, drawing inspiration from the plant that ensnares with its spikes and hooks. With over a decade of experience behind the decks, his extensive collection spans the spectrum from minimal to deep and dubby techno, seamlessly blending fresh sounds with old-school classics. A testament to his versatility, Janne's involvement in the Acid Symphony Orchestra of Jori Hulkkonen showcases his love of acid music with the iconic Roland 303 synthesizer."

I love discovering good music. making music costs a lot of time, a lot of energy and a lot of money.  if possible i buy the vinyl i like . in any case, an artist is happy about support and comments that really honor his work. that's why i leave something more than just a listless "wow" or similar mini comments , because the artist takes so much time to please us with his ideas !!!
