Deep bassy monastic vocals coming from the enormous Cathedrals spread the message of Deliverance and Truth. The gregorian chants transmit the distant atmosphere of dark future - the gothic worlds of Man are in peril, and the lodge-masters seek to unify the fallen cults in the name of Pax Imperatoris. Immense and ancient giant statues, once a display of might and glory, now stand dilapidated upon the grey skies, awaiting the repentance of the ones who strayed from the Holy path of Eternal Providence. At the forgotten Monastery, the dominus-priest gathers his disciples to await the dawning of the red moon.

This album is partially and indirectly inspired by the fascinating Warhammer 40,000 universe and lore.

Jesper Kyd es un músico que nació en Copenhague, Dinamarca en 1972 y vive actualmente en Los Ángeles.
Empezó tocando piano a temprana edad. Después, durante muchos años estuvo aprendiendo guitarra clásica, solfeo, canto (coro) y composición clásica en piano. Cuando él tenía 14 años, su interés en la música fue motivado cuando recibió un Commodore 64 (ordenador personal de ese entonces), el cual le permitió componer su propia música. Durante ese tiempo, trabajó el demoscene y empezó creando música para diferentes demo-groups en su Commodore 64. Varios años después, consiguió un PC Amiga, el cual tenía mucha más capacidad de procesamiento de sonido, y con el cual logró componer samples en este computador personal. Luego formó un demo-group llamado «silents DK» con su amigo Mikael Balle. Después de otro largo tiempo empezó una colaboración con un grupo de programadores conocidos como «Crionics», los cuales serían vitales para el desarrollo de su carrera profesional. Además creó y y figuró en listas con un wild demo para «Global Trash 2», al lado de Mikael Balle.
