This track was co-written by xskarma and the super talented Frannie B and features the vocals of Frannie B.  The track is a blend of trip hop and downtempo indie electronica. Influenced by bands like Portishead, Lamb, Morcheeba, and Hooverphonic, with pop vocal influences such as Lana del Ray and Laurel. It deals with the struggle that athletes go through to reach the top of their sport, and how determination prevails above all else.

See It Through

This is a song about the ‘Tragic’ Abuse of Women’s Rights!   
I wrote the song the day that the Taliban walked back into Kabul. It just seems tragic, that after 20 years of steady progressive development in Afghanistan, women's rights have taken a terrifying step backwards. 

The guest vocalist on this song is Tammy Roylance, a great singer from the local Bristol scene. Thank you Tammy for the amazing Vocal :-)

The lyrics discuss how women's liberty and underlying rights to freedom of choice and freedom of speech can be severely compromised by religious fundamentalism and bigoted attitudes. Musically, the track is inspired by classic trip hop tracks from bands like Massive Attack, Portishead, and Morcheeba. It is driven by a hypnotic underlying groove with airy retro pads, and wavy synths.

The origins of this track are rooted in 90's trip-hop. The drums have a crunchy lilt and wavy filtered feel and much of the instrumentation is influenced by retro sounds of the 90’s. But the hook has a more modern pop feel and the vocal performance gives it an indie pop vibe.

This track features the vocals of 'glasscat'.  The inspiration came from a glitchy drum part I heard on a Timbaland track. I then played the live drum track as an evolution of that and built the beat around that.The lyrics are all about the unspoken darkness in a relationship and how a partner can seem distant and distracted, living in a parallel universe.

This track was inspired by a funky beat on a Bill Withers track played by James Gadson.  The beat I played is similar but not as funky :-(   The song is about the untimely death of a lover.  Losing someone long before their time is a devastating experience...

This is a song about the dangers of AI and it features several AI engines.  The lyrics were initially written by ChatGPT and then edited by me. I then wrote all the music and melody for the topline.  I then got two different AI vocal engines to sing the track, so all the vocals are synthesised! It features an emulation of the sound of Hal out of 2001 a Space Odyssey. The core hook od “Ai is a ticking timebomb” came straight from ChatGPT as did all of the key lines, and as such this is a chilling warning voiced by ChatGPT itself 🙂
