Rooted in the fertile soil of hauntology, Amulet of Tears presents: 'Before We Melt into the Sea' - chimerical shreds of memoir.  Foraying intervals coiled in visceral resonance, which appear as abyssal, ancestral echoes of elusive moments, where the past unfolds in attendance, like a vapor that forbids to fade.  

Phantoms colliding to forge ahead for what’s to come or to drag us back into the shades of what we once were - enshadowed by imprints of past, present, and future, overlapped upon one another.

Impersonating a River is your monthly militant sound toolkit—Instructive, evocative, multidirectional, and counter-historical. It is a transmission aimed at revealing how political and cultural ideologies are encoded in our surroundings, providing practical, theoretical, relational, and experimental tools to disrupt them. 
Hosted by Brussels-based artist I_Suck_Moss (Isaac Moss), whose work bridges sound art, performance, actions, and other community activities, this show is proudly queer and made with love, live from Brasserie Atlas.
Structured like modern, warped folktales, Isaac searches each month, alone or with friends, for sounds and voices that may have been forgotten, under-appreciated, suppressed, or misinterpreted. Each episode follows a theme drawn from these diverse starting points. 
Listeners may find themselves drifting between rogue dreams, forgotten texts, or bus stop conversations, often sprinkled with anti-colonial and anti-imperialist subliminal messaging — from the automatic and the prefabricated to the composting.

Hearing loss can make the brain work harder, forcing it to strain to hear and fill in the gaps. That comes at the expense of other thinking and memory systems. Another possibility: Hearing loss causes the aging brain to shrink more quickly. A third possibility is that hearing loss leads people to be less socially engaged, which is hugely important to remaining intellectually stimulated. If you can&amp#39;t hear very well, you may not go out as much, so the brain is less engaged and active.
