Closing 2022 with a set played at one of the last parties at my favorite unpolished venue in Holland, Brebl Nijmegen 29-12-2022. It has been a while since I felt that the whole building was resonating to the music, and the vibe at the party was so good. Big thanks to Acid A Gogo for hosting this gathering <3 The set I played turned out to be better than I expected, compiling all the ravey, industrial, nasty, dystopian, dark styles of hardcore techno I enjoy so much, with a funky plottwist at the end ;) I hope you will enjoy it as well.

We planned to do a 3 hour set, but it was so much fun, we continued for an extra hour :D Mad props for Pieter@Unit/Teknosucks, and for the people coming over to the Unit shop! Big thanks to all of the FB viewers for the massive support and positive response! What the fuck happened?! The video stream was viewed 43.000 times and shared over 600 different profiles!

This is the recording of my set recorded at the 10 year anniversary free party of the ZMK Soundsystem in 2009.

The intro has the original cello performance which Venetian Snares used in his amazing breakcore tune Szam r Mad r. The rest of the mix has some early crossbreed, industrial hardcore, acidcore, rave, and some old french hardcore (pre-frenchcore ;-)

This mix is Richard from Mononom with live SPX90 effects mixing by me, this is I think before pioneer had released their mixers with effects built in, or certainly around that time when they were just coming in to use. It’s 45 min cassette recording of a Vinyl DJ set from The Tekno Bar in Haarlem Netherlands. The other recording of the last hour and a half is missing unfortunately. Maybe it will be found one day but its not in my possession.
The night of this mixtape was a week after Mononom and I think Alien Pulse had their party stopped in Haarlem also, so Richard had unfinished business on the decks and played an awesome set. I remember I was on before him and as soon as he arrived, I stepped aside to let him play pretty much.
The flyer may not be of the exact night but is one if the Tekno Bar flyers.
