Yo my people! After spending most of my time in Anara Forest at Boomtown this year I've decided to take a dive into the darker minimal vibes of Drum and Bass, and since it's Xmas you can have this one for Free! Super excited to show you what else I've been working on for 2026, this is just the start!

Dispatch Recordings proudly present ‘Dreamland’ – the 2nd solo album from Bristol based DLR.

Continuing where his 2015 debut ‘Seeing Sounds’ left off, ‘Dreamland’ is an album concept that reflects on the world today. Encouraging people to challenge the barriers and comfort zones we blissfully exist within, DLR seeks to resist the inadequate reality we are sleepwalking into; an inherently greed based system, where numbers govern art and culture, whilst popularity determines the success of social causes, as issues are picked up and dropped in the blink of an eye.

Musically, the album is honest, straight up and sound design focused, as DLR pays homage to the older styles of DnB, building on the genre’s core principles, writing his own chapter in Bristol’s long running heritage. A statement of intent towards soul and groove driven music, each track is personified by simple ideas meticulously arranged, as DLR prioritises the raw elements to enhance the groove and sub bass, allowing each aspect enough space to breathe and develop.

Note: This particular track will only be made available via our limited run of Dropcards and on the double pack full vinyl release. It won't be made available to download via usual outlets as part of the digital version of the album.

We resume our mission to deliver more quality music, now with the labels first release of 2018 from rising names in the scene Revaux, with the title track 'Colours' featuring another ascending starlet, Charli Brix.

Colours itself has been a while in the works, but Revaux and Charli have well and truly out done themselves on this track, and as a label, we couldn't want to kick off the year in better way. With a strong message to boot, we don't think this one will be fading away anytime soon.

Revaux then went in on the flip 'Trainwreck', rolling out a bad boy smasher to really complete the release. We feel the Leeds brothers Joe and Ru are properly showcasing their potential with this single, and we're seriously proud to be able to put this one out for them.

Menacing in stature throughout, Submarine excels in production with pinpoint German efficiency, upheld by gritty, subversive bass weight.

Tight knit percussion keeps ‘Posse’ rolling intricately and the ominous whirrs of ‘Clarion’ raise the tension, before mellow chords in ‘Blur’ provide smooth contrast.

Skankandbass is dedicated towards the official promotion of record labels and artists in the world of drum & bass music. Since inception in 2010, Skankandbass has unearthed some of the freshest talents in the scene and has opened many doors for unsigned artists. Now, a few years in to the game, Skankandbass decides to take on the role of a record label to put together a series of free download singles which aims to further help spread the work of the best unsigned, newcomer artists who deserve more recognition.

Ill Truth are no strangers to Skankandbass, having been featured numerous times since their first release on Lockdown Recordings in late 2016.  Despite the relatively short time since their debut, the Bristol natives have made a rapid rise through the ranks.  With appearances on Shogun, Symmetry, Fokuz and Lifestyle under their belt, last year they impressively curated their own VA album showcasing newcomer talent.  Showing no signs of slowing down into 2019, the duo kick things off with two dancefloor weapons in the form of SNB047.
