This album was created by programming generative compositions, which were 'recorded' - and thus in fact made 'ungenerative' - and used as a starting point for this record (GS1, GS2, and GS3). Snapshots of generative music, one could say. Hence the title 'Generative Stills'. In between are two regular recordings (IN1 and IN2). After our emotional and more uptempo nostalgic restart by Akwalek last August we continue our sonic journey this time passing a much calmer and serene planet.
Setting the tone with his debut ‘Katharsis’ at Xtraplex in 2013 and his second album ‘Soundtrack For a Dysfunctional Landscape’ in 2014, 10 years later The Next Commuter keeps crafting his bare-bone guitar scapes with surgical precision. On this 3th album here on Xtraplex he enters an even more zen-like essence.
Less is definitely more as this album feels more like the air you breathe or the wind that passes outside than a musical piece you listen to

The silence before the storm
That deep breath you take before a dive
That moment you stop what you are doing and take a look around, listen to every sound and just be part of the bigger whole
