Hailing from Egypt, duo Fade Republic bring their diverse sound to sequence for the first time - with an EP that really pushes the boundaries of conventional melodic techno. 

Both originals complement each other perfectly - each telling a story that gradually builds with intensity throughout.

On remix duty we welcome Emiliano Demarco to the sequence family, who’s delivered a deep, techno grounded remix of Blend. Emiliano retains key elements from the original, subtly weaving them in throughout - definitely one designed for the early hours.

We're honored to premiere this amazing remix by one of our favorite producers; Fat Cosmoe. He remixed a beautiful track by the revelation from Belgium; Pelace. You might know from their beautiful ADE special guest mix released back in October 2022. The track is called 'Trapped Forever' and comes from the inaugural 'Echoes' album released on Dutch label Infinite Depth. We're mega happy to premiere our first track from that label since we're big fans. The Fat Cosmoe remix is part of a huge remix pack coming on the 24th of March, definitely check it out!

Opening the month of March, Tash's Movement Recordings welcomes Kommodo to the label for his debut EP. Based in Brazil, Rivadavia Coura aka Kommodo has been a fixture of the melodic house and techno scene for the better part of a decade. The Florianópolis resident has emerged from his country's electronic landscape with well received releases via ICONYC, Somatic, Timeless Moment and Warung Recordings, while also finding favour with the genre's premiere tastemakers. Now, presenting his first project of 2023, Kommodo adds Movement Recordings to his resume with a three-track showcase entitled 'Rapid Eye Movement, Pt 1'.

Beginning with 'Broken Souls', Kommodo pairs with vocalist Maeana for a smooth slice of astral techno. Led by a warm groove, its ethereal nature proves to be compelling, with wavy arps, sweeping effects and strong key changing basslines dominating an emotive first act. Concise at just about a minute in length, the main break expands the narrative with Maeana's gorgeous vocals ringing out in timeless suspension, before a striking stab steals the air and the groove drops for a finale that is equal parts cosmic and emotive.

Our Ukrainian brother AIKON returns for a four-track excursion into the future of the past (or is it the past of the future?). Embodying the timeless ethos of TAU’s core sound, this EP is a surefire winner. AIKON has been a busy bee lately, with releases on Diynamic, Renaissance, Exploited and multinotes, among others. It’s great to have him back with us here at TAU, we’re sure you’re going to bop your head to this all through summer and beyond...

The EP gets grooving with its title track, ‘Energy Control’. At the low end there’s a gentle hum, nudged along by punchy beats. Acid flecks reverberate in the background, while a repetitive vocal clip gives the cut its enchanting character. Get ready for the extended breakdown, leading into a bombastic second half with a highly emotive riff designed to give you goosebumps.

Up next is ‘Come Together’, which utilises organic sounding percussion alongside a muted b-line. The vocal tells us “It’s time to come together” repeatedly, as if urging us to embrace unity... Layers of urgent melody are added, giving the track a dramatic quality. AIKON allows us sometime for a breather, before heading into the latter part of the track for more strutting on the dance floor.

‘Rattles’ follows up, opening with a deep bass rhythm. The atmosphere is tense and a little unsettling, with layers of percussion adding to the
track’s dynamic nature. An emotionally-charged breakdown showcases AIKON’s musicality, before we dive back into the depths of the low end

Lastly, ‘Space Adventure’ takes us on a cosmic head trip. After a pensive start, we encounter a funkafied bassline which is complemented by a
bright sparkling melody, which evokes the feeling of a shuttle docking with a space station while orbiting a distant planet. The progression and sonic narrative on this cut are perfectly matched with the title, AIKON guiding us through space with his impeccable composition..
