Pássaro present their second release “Antes de existir o Mundo” (Before the world existed): five original tracks plus two remixes by Shika Shika co-founder El Búho and Brazilian underground legend Psilosamples. “Antes de Existir o mundo” is a slow and sweet musical trip inspired by nature, landscapes and birdsongs from Brazil. In this album, produced over the last three years, Pássaro speak about the last instant before the world came into existence, the creation of the first life and the first sounds.

Pássaro is a trio from Brazil composed by Irû Waves, Ygor Marotta & Tomás Xavier. They have been exploring this collective way of composing music together since 2019, inspired by hundreds of jam sessions and by the psychedelic landscapes of Brazil’s nature.

There was a certain emotional, physical tension building up in the atmosphere and the crowd was ready to release it! Awake´s festival got cancelled last minute two weekends ago. I made myself available to channel the energy of the moment to provide a space to really dive deep into furious, raging dancing that end up making us all feel empowered, sexy, free and joyful as F%$K! 

This is one of those dj sets that end up making you feel that you upgraded yourself. Not only because of your Dj skills but because of your presence, your unfiltered and unapollogetic self expression and your playfulness with the musical journey and with the crowd. 

You saw it in people´s faces. The dancefloor was engaged as never before, people danced as never before, the whole dancefloor was shaking and my spirit/soul was feeling potent, bright, expansive and sassy as never before. :-P 

Starting with some downtempo and tribal beats to build up the energy into more ethnic middle eastern, desert vibes filled with depth and mysticism. Followed by some medicine music and uplifting and joyful sounds that will take you high into celebration, sexyness and renewal!

This song comes from water elements such as oceans, lakes, cenotes and lagoons. When Koku travelled to Tulum, Mexico, he was inspired by Laguna de Kaan Luum and Bacalar Lagoon. He also felt synchronisation between his body’s water and lagoons. The body welcomed lagoons’ water and it was glad to be surrounded by water. At the same time he heard of the book, The Hidden Messages in Water by Masaru Emoto from some travellers. From these experiences, he put a lot of gratitude into this song to give us positive feelings.

KOKU BIO

Kiyoshi “Koku” Iio was born and raised in Japan. Primarily self-taught, he grew up playing sports and later became a drummer in rock bands. After a few years of playing drums, he began exploring other instruments such as guitar, bass, djembe and didgeridoo

While travelling the world, Koku bought a hang drum (Handpan) in Spain in 2017. From there, he traveled to over 20 countries busking with his handpan to make a living. For one year, he led a nomadic life playing music in various countries

In 2018, he went to Vancouver, Canada and was so impressed by the natural beauty that he decided to stay for a long period

The next step in his musical journey is to explore electronic and ambient music using synthesizers and sampled sounds from nature

Koku has produced over 100 videos of him playing music in various environments both in nature and in urban settings which can be seen on YouTube and Instagram
You can also hear his music on Bandcamp and Spotify.

He is passionate about working with musicians around the world and also providing his services to various people in different fields such as gaming, films, fashion, dance, theatre, and more
