Éclat Crew has been hard at work changing the face of the Berlin music industry ever since 2018, when the collective for female, trans and nonbinary electronic music producers was first established.

Producers and DJs from Éclat have been making waves both in Berlin and internationally. This compilation is the first official collection of work from this dynamic and diverse community of artists.

The title: “Eclat: A Constellation Of Party Balloons Floating On A Deep Sea Saline Lake” perfectly encapsulates this ever-shifting yet dazzling collection of tracks, ranging from the ambient stillness of [ ] to the banging techno of [ ]. There’s a track for every taste in this collection. 

In the spirit of the collective, which invites producers of all levels together to make music alongside each other, the compilation features releases from established nightlife names like Nathalie Capello, Monibi and Acidfinky, alongside newcomers releasing their very first tracks.

Éclat Crew invites you to celebrate the release of the compilation with them at Fitzroy on Sunday 20 November.

Georgian choirs, russian folk songs, DDR childrens music, chanson playing simultaneosly from various speakers around the room creating an unholy drone ornamented by four 8-11 year old vampires & one banschee screaming with horror & joy ...

recorded one year later in the same Berlin apartment is an exploration of space & a shifting sense of place. The 30min track is a celebration of friendship & community a meditation on finding connections, healing and remebering the old ways in our own ways.

Here in Germany, we are appalled at the spate of racialized police violence, and the chilling restriction of discourse and political expression affecting many of our communities and cultural institutions.

This compilation - run entirely by volunteers, with submissions from all over the world - is an offer and rehearsal for a world we want to see free from violence and terror - an alchemy for the grief, suffering, and atrocity of war, which right now, is particularly acute in the bombardment of Palestine.

We stand firmly against racism, antisemitism, islamophobia, and the murder of innocent people.

We repeat our demand for a ceasefire and the release of hostages to make way for grief and peace.

Currently, 100% of proceeds (minus processing fees) will be diverted privately to a women’s centre in Gaza with funds being used to distribute dignity kits directly to displaced women and families there. We are monitoring the situation closely and will do our best to update donors if the situation changes due to the very, very tenuous situation in Gaza.

If you can’t or don’t feel comfortable donating, we encourage you to follow trusted humanitarian NGOs like Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières, Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, Medical Aid for Palestinians or the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees.

Locally, there may already be groups working to combat islamophobia and antisemitism. There may also be groups providing legal assistance for peaceful protestors depending on where you are in the world.

We realise our best power comes from working intersectionally across and between race, class, gender, and background when we think globally, but act locally, focusing our efforts on our most vulnerable.

Yeah well...
Of Trumps Misdemeanors his inauguration taking place on my Birthday was not his Greatest...But seeing this racist, islamophobic, misogynist, fascist, add nauseum... gracing the world's biggest stage and mainstreaming and celebrating repugnant right wing ideology was enough to send this snowflakes birthday blues into some fully fledged  bleeding heart melodrama... 

Another brick in the onslaught of inhumanity that burns my retina and leaves me crying into my facebook feed. Yearning for the days when I lived dreamed and believed revolution. In the days  before I just felt crushed...

But far away bleeding hearts are never enough... 
Drawing from my own experience and also recognising  I live far from the coal face of global oppression... I search for fight. 

Listen...Think about... Talk About... How can we fight Fascism in our lives. What is my role in this struggle. How can my words and my actions work towards dismantling this systemic oppression... How do I stay vigilant and to the ways I embody this oppression...

I look around. And I listen. And I read and I watch. And I search for ways to be in solidarity. For hands to hold. Backs to watch. Hearts to love.
