In June '21 i first set foot on the ship Odessa to experience my first ecstatic dance ever. I immediately fell in love. When Amber asked me if i wanted to become a spaceholder, i replied with HELLL YEAH - even though i didn't know what it meant to be a spaceholder. Now i know; i embrace it, embody it and Odessa truly became a home.

I've been going to techno parties for over 10 years and i love raving with all my heart to this day, but raving never inspired me to start DJ'ing myself. Ecstatic dance hits different. It is healing, joyful and liberating. It is a way to connect with deeper layers of yourself and others.

VENUS: PURE PUSSY MAGIC // 9FEB22 @ ODESSA AMSTERDAM

Here’s a fresh musical diary entry titled ‘THIRD EYED RAVEN’, since she ignites an enchanting rave that opens up your third eye. I used the formula raven + zweven = leven. Plus, on a more personal note: one of my spirit animals is a raven ánd i’ve been raving linksvoor on snoeiharde techno for over 10 years now. You’ll discover some bangers during this trip. Really tried my best to balance the elements earth, fire, water and air better this time. But i have to conclude that my selection again turned out predominantly lit, it’s that feminine fire burning within me 💁🏻‍♀️❤️‍🔥🔥

The journey is opened with a track of Turkish/Anatolian flute to honour my roots.

Sometimes you create a journey you like so much you play it for two different crowds. Even though there's many ecstatic dance DJ's doing this, for some reason it's still a taboo and thus DJ's are not transparant about it. But hey, no shame in my game; I stand behind whatever choices I make.

That being said, one of my goals is to gain enough confidence to play more intuitively each time I perform. How amazing would it be if I dare to play a set completely unprepared, to create the journey live, fed by the energy of the dancers. One day! 🙏🏽

'changing the game' debuted at PLAY! Zwolle the 3rd of February - it was an amazing evening with divine feminine energy filling the dance floor. Then, the 10th of February, I decided to play a similar set at Ecstatic Dance Leiden. This was a special evening for me, since it was exactly one year after my first gig as an ecstatic dance DJ. 

AND!!! 🥁 At the end of 2023 my creative partner and I will release our EP. Together we form a creative duo named 'Venus: the Future'. The third track of this journey is a first instrumental sketch of 'Prophecy', which is the opening track of our EP.
