While he was perusing my library, my close friend Migu found the first song you'll be hearing in this mix: a version of Kanye West's Gold Digger, which he was plesantly surprised by when he played it. Hence, I took this as a sign to unleash the five hit combo I had lined up for it. 

I titled Vol. 3 as Release because this is a group of tunes I've had sitting in my rekbordbox for a while, but never really felt confident to put out into the world. I went back and forth about worrying that I'd be somewhat judged by it and the mix's mood changes may not be received well by others. I recognise that this is just music. But at times (a lot of the time actuall), I do feel strongly about the music I select. I see the curation as an extension of myself, and maybe sometimes I feel afraid to release that part of myself and show it to others for fear of judgement, ridicule, and belittling.

But well, here we are. I felt the need to air this one out to get past worrying about if people would like it or not, if it'll get plays or not, if it'll help me get booked or not. 

This is my lil mini mix series where I promised I'd showcase my music taste in hopes of finding my tribe and improving along the way. Hopefully, you understand where I'm coming from, will care to join me on this ride, and enjoy Microdose Vol. 3 (Release).
