Devin "YaBoiWhyte" Dodson was born August 19,1991 in Memphis, TN. As a young child, everyone knew that he was destine for greatness but he would see what greatness.  At age of 7 during a summer session at his local church, YaBoiWhyte got his first taste of music when given the opportunity to sing in front a more than 300 people.  From then on he knew that one day he would be working with the greats. As an elementary student, he was no normal kid. Instead of playing outside with friend or sitting in the house playing videos, YaBoiWhyte was out perfecting the craft of singing and piano playing.  Once he begun 2nd grade, he was given the chance to perform for a kids blues band at Gordon Elementary. As he developed his talent, he indulged into the various genres such as R&B, Pop, Neo-Soul, Classical and etc participating in a variety of competition not know that he was just furthering his musical experience. During his summer, he played piano side by side next to artist such as Issac Hayes, Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, etc. through the STAX records summer music program. He later went on performing arts school, Snowden Middle and Overton High, where he sung in choir for 8 consecutive years competing in various region and national competition. Due to his neglect to education, he lost multiple scholarship to continue his musical voyage which force him to join the United States Navy.  Now 5 years later, he is looking for a path to regain his connection back with his musical passion. YaBoiWhyte has been hitting multiple studios recording the 1st of many mixtapes.  Check out his latest single "Rolling Stones" off his upcoming EP "WhyteLines," which expected to be released April 16, 2014.  This 11 track mixtape give the listener a visual of YaBoiWhyte's past, present and future experience as a Memphis Native.
