btw i used getyoursnackon's project file as a foundation for my remake, all i really did was replace one of the impact sample with a more accurate one, remixed some of the elements, added a new piano, and added another set of chords at a higher octave. also added some bitcrushed elements to get the high end "buzz" the original has.

porter robinson - language remake [revisted] (2/24/17)

Made a few changes to the intro and added the drop remake. This is basically a  revisit remake of a revisit remake. 

Sort of cheated on the drop drums but ohhh well because I've put wayyy too many hours into this remake and my drums will never be as good as Daydreamer's.

Looking back I could've probably boosted the mids but oh well what's done is done.

madeon - home remake (4/4/17)

Saw someone remake this so I took the FLP and tried to get closer with it (adjustments to the patch, different EQ, more processing, fix the bass as there wasn't enough stereo width, small fix to the MIDI). Had most trouble getting that resonance in the higher frequencies.

Also ignore that pop at the start, that was there in the original audio file.

For the past three months, I've been in this state of mind where if my remakes aren't an exact replica, I consider it unfinished and I continue working on it until it's a literal copy (which has obviously led to stagnation with my artistic development and me being stuck on the same 20 remakes that I refuse to move on from).

So I'm going to post this as a WIP and hopefully it will be my first step towards me realizing exact replica remakes are impossible and I'll actually start posting the stuff I've been working on lol

I discovered this track over the summer and it had a really strong impact on me. For a while after I first found it, I would listen to it every day on the car ride home from work. It gave me a reflective and melancholic feeling that really moved me, with the piano chords and the chorus embodying it. If you haven't already heard it, I really recommend you listen to the original track by Mac Miller.

I began this project about three months ago and it originally started off as just a remake of the intro chord progression. I pushed on with it and reworked the original song's intro, introducing new elements and processing with my version. This is the result.
