This freestyle was one I did after my little cousin let me hear his favorite song. He said, "This beat hard" and I told him to say less. I let him hear my freestyle to it and he told me to share it with the rest of the world, so here we are.

Originally from Fairhope, AL. “Ty” was born literally 1 day after his mother. At just 15 years old, his mother juggled numerous jobs and relied heavily on both her grandmothers to help raise him. “He was the best birthday present I ever received,” she stated, “AND….he always will be my baby boy!” At just 6 years old, Ty witnessed a devastating tragedy that involved him having to leave the state of Alabama. With his father incarcerated, both he and his mother moved to Youngstown, Ohio; a place where he would eventually call home. At age 9, he wrote his first song titled: “Can’t-Wait,” which was a childhood memoir of how he missed his old running mates back in what he still considered home, "Alabama." His passion for music grew as he spent time around his uncles, or the “Old Heads” as he'd say in his neighborhood. He was widely influenced by old school hip hop. Eager for the spotlight, he got his first performance at Martin Luther King  Jr. Elementary school, where he rapped alongside one of his longtime pals and still friends to this day. “I knew he was gifted at a very young age. The boy could memorize things and repeat them usually word for word days later. I remember he got to a point to where he was teaching my sister how to do his work different from what the teachers taught.” his aunt, Mrs. Mitchell explained. She said "I knew he was different because he always was curious as a kid. You couldn't just tell him something and expect him to take it for face value. He always needed to be sure he could have your word and your word was bond in his eyes." she explained. When asked about his influencers, he said he always had a thing for the storytelling style of early hip hop; from artists such as Slick Rick, Notorious B.I.G, and Outkast. He also loved that hard-hitting southern style as well, with his favorite influencers being southern-artists like T.I. from Atlanta and the Louisiana Natives: Lil Wayne and Kevin Gates. Over the years he said music became a way to express himself and get things off his chest. He has projects and shows for the upcoming year in the works and hopes that his listeners can connect and relate to his music by the way he tells his stories.
