DJ Limited, our freshly minted exclusive Playaz soldier is ready to unleash his debut solo EP titled Minefield for the label. Sporting some dreadful kazoo-esqe bass frequencies and funky breakbeats, the title track sets the tone for this sub crushing EP.
 
Transporting you to the earlier days of rave “Understand Something” puts a funky twist on classic samples and a head nodding pace. “Soldier” featuring Fatman D hits with an emotional intro and Fatman’s mighty voice guiding the vibe with a dark b-line making for a true junglist anthem. “Don’t Be Afraid” goes on to exhibit Limited’s complete dissection of a classic breakbeat with levitating and exciting bits of quirky basslines. Closing it out “Work It” conjures up swaggering halftime vibes with his trademark long and heavy multi-dimensional notes.

One of the regular labels we feature are Sub-Liminal, a wicked little imprint that puts out a diverse sound ranging from techy rollers to jump-up steppers and even liquidy numbers. This week they've arrived with an EP from Prestige, who, across six tracks, spans various tones and styles, all of them rooted in a sense of dancefloor aggressiveness and all of them top-notch. 'It Must Be Destroyed' is a highlight, its rolling percussive line isn't the paciest but is loping and satisfying, whilst a gargling bass and sweeping reeces sit just above and inject all the force. 'A Snake' is also a wicked track, with a lovely, stripped back drum line that's full of moody sonics. Top stuff.
