Just like Turbo B (member of Eurodance phenomena Snap!), went from the US to Europe and became very famous, another group of people during that period in time did the very same thing - but had no success at all…

Join Canadian funkateer Darius Derome, who in the late 1980s went to Europe with his brand new *Kawai K1m Desktop Module*(# released 1988) and his *Casio DG20 Digital Midi Guitar* (# released 1987), trying his luck in creating the genre Eurobreakdance. 

Contrary to Eurodance, that incorporates elements of hip hop, techno & house, Darius also wanted to include stuff like jazzfunk, world music, psychedelic soul & fusion while still keeping it within the ever popular 4/4 120 BPM structure. 

The record labels and the DJs at the radio stations/dance clubs at the time were sadly not ready for these adventures in music… 

Even worse, when Darius went back to Canada in the mid 1990s, the canadian version of Eurodance known as Candance was getting really big and hitting the airwaves: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurodance#Canada

Back in Canada and still equipped with only the Kawai K1m and the Casio midi guitar, Darius tried to create an alternative to Candance by promoting his guitar centric ”breakdance-fusion” for stoners - this time calling the genre BarréCannaDance.

Yet once again all this was done without any success and rejected by all record labels, radio stations and DJs.

In an interview from 1998, that was made after a 3 hour long improvised live show with his band Suburban Boogie Kollektive, Darius had the following to say: 

- ”Those who go for the already established obviously lack humility, so why even try to push the boundries when there are no boundries to begin with?”

Intro: 
All of a sudden during one of his live gigs
DJ Duckpower collapses on stage…

00:15 - His whole life and all the things he did and the choices he made flashes before him. DJ Duckpower meets Lord Yama and his heavenly assistants. DJ Duckpower pleads to Lord Yama to live again so he can clean up his act. Lord Yama teaches DJ Duckpower how he ought to behave if he wants to return to life.

03:14 - DJ Duckpower recovers from his fatal accident and wakes up to life again.

03:53 - DJ Duckpower stands up on the stage and grabs a microphone wanting to explain to everybody what just happened him…

04:13 - DJ Duckpower starts to very enthusiastically teach and preach to everybody in the crowd about his near death experience by spittin' rhymes over a beat!  He tries to convey his message in various ways.

07:26 - Hardly anyone in the crowd believes in DJ Duckpower's amazing story and start leaving the place not wanting to listen…Like they were all having a (N)Ear Deaf Experience… Only one person in the whole crowd applauded.
DJ Duckpower is not the slightest affected by all of this and is still very content and thrilled with the amazing experience he had… :)

08:08 - Happy ending outro flute…..or wait…since there's really no end and also no such thing as ”death” why should the track actually end like that? DJ Duckpower starts to contemplate the following: - It's impossible to subjectivly experience annihilation! :)

09:00 - Lighting up one more fatty… ;)
