Having already earned plays from the likes of Dixon, Ame, Chaim, and Adana Twins with releases on Ya Hala Ya Hala, Blue Shadow and Tau, Genish finds a natural fit on Multi Culti with his Third Eye EP, a kaleidoscopic triptych emerging out of the evolving sound of Tel Aviv.

Composed of myriad globe-spanning influences, his sound is a fresh, house-y hybrid, imbued with the spirit of trance but restrained in both tempo and arrangement and more ambitious in terms of sonic palette. Featuring a wild mix of Qawwali samples, French-Congolese vocals as well as lyrics from a made-up language, Genish has deployed impressively diverse, character-filled vocal performances and paired them with varied, impactful rhythms, deft melodies, all wrapped-up and reinforced around powerful four-to-the-floor bass-lines. Tel Aviv-based artist Yotam Russo (@yotam-russo) signs to Local Suicide’s label Iptamenos Discos and announces  his new ‘Twilight Zone Disko’ EP which will be out May 26th, 2023 on limited clear vinyl & digital. 

The 3-tracker is the Israelis most mature release to date and perfectly showcases his unique approach to modern electronic  dance music. Being known for his fusion of heavy drum machines with psychedelic guitars, acid melody-hooks and catchy  vocals he creates a rich spectrum of sound that takes listeners on a journey through a range of emotions and genres.Over time, he has cultivated a distinct style characterized by by an optimistic and upbeat vibe that is both nostalgic and contemporary. In this EP he expands his creative expression by adding meaningful text that resonates with his audience, making his music a powerful vehicle for storytelling. Whether this be via performing live or in the studio, Russo innovatively blends genres from Indie Dance, Synthpop, Dark Disco to House & Acid often referring to bands like LCD Soundsystem, Soulwax or The Faint. 

The EP's title track & first single ‘Twilight Zone Disko' is a punk approach to disco, with distorted vocals, and hypnotic synths,  it aims to make the listener feel like they’re never alone on the dance floor. The track's gradual ascent is driven by a  combination of the drum machine's rhythmic beats and the alluring lyrics, resulting in a psychedelic sound.

Hemi, the veteran DJ and producer based in Istanbul, returns to Duro Label with a thunderous release. "Damn, I Forgot" is the name of Hemi's latest single, which comes accompanied by two remixes, the first one made by Israeli artist Niv Ast and the second by Hungarian in-house artist Sobek.

The EP starts with the original version of "Damn, I Forgot," a track that immerses you in an experience with an enveloping bass that roars from the first seconds. Hemi drags us through an arrangement of synthesized violins, electric stabs, and acidic lasers. A mixture of dark and resonant elements in a whirlwind of energy.

Next is Israeli producer Niv Ast, who puts his stamp on a remix that will transport you to an unknown dimension. With a spacey and majestic vibe, this version will guide you through a jungle of echoing synthesizers, fragmented vocals, stuttering organs, and acidic synthesizers that blend together remarkably.

Closing the release is the contribution of Hungarian producer Sobek, who doesn't fall behind. His version of the track is a booming and mind-bending cut that makes you move your feet instantly. The fuzzed synthesizers, chopped vocals, and powerful rhythmic section come together in a hypnotic mix that will keep listeners captivated on the dancefloor.

For over a decade, Hemi has left his mark on the music scene, experimenting with various genres under different aliases. In the past years, he has focused his energy on new music under his own name, gaining recognition on labels like Discotexas, NDYD, and Petra.

Making the debut release on their new label, Powder Music, Made in TLV drop ‘Rehab’ with remix support from Simple Symmetry & Xen, and Rina.

Powder music is a new imprint from Israeli duo Liraz Levinson
and Aviv Bens (Made in TLV). Breaking on to the scene in 2017 with a series of incendiary releases, they were quickly snapped up by Asymmetric, Keinemusik and Blue Shadow. Now bedded into the fabric of the Tel Aviv elite, they travel the world with their unique sound.

‘Rehab’ is a rubbery mid set chugger with bags of personality. An acidic bass takes the lead from bar one growing organically into an infectious groove aimed squarely at the cooler floors. On remix duties, Simple Symmetry and Xen drop the tempo to envision a dark, druggy dub version that swells with e-moments, while Rina delves into harrowing soundscape-y minimalism.

This is a story about a hippie boy who looked for meaning.
In the woods of a forgotten land called Swagistan,
he ended up in a little shed with an old native shaman who took him on a psychedelic trip.
During that trip, he heard an EP in his head,
and stories even say that the old shaman had some synthesizers in his shed and he himself played the first
bass line of the EP.
