Bust a move by Mouna Bai is the new production from Yah man Records, produced by Morello Selecta, Layan Bros and Robi Garruto. Even when the theme is a summer fresh and high vibration rate, the trio of producers never leaves anything to chance, trying to give credit always to their musical background and letting a message appear trough their productions.
So in this track there are a lot of references, starting with the title of the song, a tribute to Youngmc's famous work of 1989. It can be easily noticed in the lyrics another reference to Tony Esposito's "Kalimba de luna" ,  a famous hit of 1984, that was reissued in August of the same year by the famous group Boney M, making his consacration in the world of disco music.
This track is the result of a continous research of vintage sound effects, examined deeply, reproduced and transformed in a new musical perspective that looks to the  future by winking at the old hits. Sounds and rhythms that don't give way out and immediately involve in a wild dancing. The autor Layan Bros describe sensations that each of us has tried at least once in a lifetime at a beach party, letting body and mind go on the rhythm in a real dance floor trip.
The beat composed by Morello Selecta and Robi Garruto is a sort of “back to the origins” for the producers.
A crossover of genres, a warm sound which  reminds of the Caribbean colors, the sea and Latin Playa.
All that is enriched by the precious deep interpretation and by vocal skills of the Italian-morrocan singer, Mouna Bai, who records her second production with Yah man Records.

Blow is the first single from the "Mad a Road" project, a collective of producers comprised of Morello Selecta, Robi Garruto, Layan Bros (already present in the Yahman records orbit in earlier productions) and the finger-drummer and multi-instrumentalist Dropkick_M. The mix of genres that influence the beat, the result of the different musical backgrounds belonging to each producer, is a powerful concentration of vibes. It's a mix of electronics, drum and bass and future dancehall, that retains the faithful connection of the Salento label to Caribbean music. The lyrics may centre on the club, but underlying messages recall themes of women's emancipation, freedom of expression and freedom of protest in all its forms. "Mad a Road" declare that the track was actually inspired by the story of the activist "Naked Athena", who appeared in front of the police deployed to disperse the "Black Lives Matter" movement against police brutality. Blow is an "urban musical insurrection"! Like a street parade in Berlin and a carnival in Notting Hill, where music is the invisibile line between rebellion and fun.

Yah Man Records, strictly from Salento, is out with the second production on “Express Love Riddim”. 

We found Morello Selecta on bass guitar and three components of the Bag a Riddim (official band of Sud Sound System): 

Fossa Drummer on drums, Papa Leu on guitar and Maestro Garofalo on keyboards. 

On this riddim you can already listen and download “Smiling Faces” from Jamaican artist Blass, 

available from the 10th of May on all digital stores. This time we’re glad to present the veteran British artist Sandra Cross. 

She started singing at the age of 9 as a solo artist in the choir of Pentecostal Church where she belonged. 

When she was only 14 she started to record her first songs with a friend in a group called Love & Unity. 

“I adore you”, recorded in 76 Records studio, soon got famous for winning a popular British talent show. 

Furthermore it was first on the Britian’s reggae chart for four weeks on 1979. What has really been crucial for her career was meeting Mad Professor, 

well-known reggae- dub selector and owner of Ariwa Records. He choosed Sandra and formed a band of only female reggae singers called Wild Bunch. 

Their album was in the Reggae Top 20 Chart. This is a great opportunity for Sandra to travel in Europe and to think about 

his career again as a solo artist. A career that will be full of success, her single “Country Living” will be on top of the 

British chart for ten weeks. She will win the British Reggae Award as best female artist for six years, from 1985 to 1991. 

Her particular style that goes from reggae to jazz and a bit of soul, is extremely interesting.

The fifth release of Yah Man Records, the up and coming label from Salento founded  by the sound engineer  Morello Selecta , is out today. We first listened to Blass (JAM), Sandra Cross (UK), Carlton Livingston (JAM) and Angela Garzia (IT) on Express Love Riddim, skilfully created by Morello and his close friends from Bag a Riddim Band. On this riddim produced by Yah Man Records we can listen to the drums of Fossa Drummer, the guitar of Papa Leu, the keyboards of Maestro Alessandro Garofalo and the bass guitar of Morello.  On the fifth release of the indipendent label  we have some really special artists. We are talking about  two brothers from Uk, Ras Fraser and Ras Tt, sons of the veteran reggae artist Philip Fraser.  Ras Tt was born in London and lived in Jamaica until 2002, when he decided to go back to the Uk  to carry on his passion for music. Along with his group R&B “Flammable Ent”, he gained more experience in the music industry. After he reached a good artistic sensibility, he went back to the Caribbean where he worked with big icons of reggae music such as Sugar Minott, Mega Bunton and Errol Dunkly. Rich in positive vibes he worked again in England with groups such as “Nutty Energy” and “Limitlus Ent”. In 2011 he produced a song with Gappy Ranks “Before I die”. Thanks to this collaboration they became great friends. We can see that  Ras Tt is a young artist but already able to go easily from a music gender  to another . His brother Ras Fraser debuted for his first time at the age of 7 whit his father Philip Fraser at the Fort Clarence Beach of Portmore.  When he went to the high school he started to properly learn the teachings of the Rastafari and the beliefs of Prince Emmanuel. His career takes off in 1999 when he recorded his first single “No escape” for Razor Sound Records. The first album of Ras Fraser Junior is “Roots my time”.  He still works for Razor Sound Records label. In 2012 he went to Jamaica with his brother  to record a song and make a documentary called “Neverous Reaction”.Well-known in Sweden and in Berlin for his collaboration with the popstar Elliphant, he performed in Miami, California, Kingston and Canada. Talent, true grit and a positive message to the youths are the main features of the music of this artist. All you have to do is to listen to the version of this two brothers, Ras Tt and Ras Fraser on Express Love Riddim to discover them..

 Eighth and last release on Express Love Riddim by Yah Man Records, label from Salento founded by Morello Selecta. On the riddim, recorded in Trepuzzi at Mad Vibes Studio by Morello Selecta on bass guitar, Papa Leo on guitar, Maestro Garofalo on keyboards and Fossa Drummer on drums, we’ve already listen to some of the most important voices of the reggae scenery. In order we had Blass, Sandra Cross, Carlton Livingston, Angela Garzia, Ras Tt, Ras Fraser, Reddman Uk and Abajonai. To top it up, we end with one of the most beautiful Ska, reggae and soul voices of Jamaica, Mr. Richie Stephens. After the collaboration with Ska Nation Band and the launch of their new album Internationally, he spent last summer in Salento. On this occasion he had the opportunity to learn more about the cultural and lifestyle aspects of this land. In fact his version on the riddim is called “Place Call Salento”. In this song Richie Stephens sings about his feelings during his stay in the heel of Italy’s boot. He describes Salento like a place full of positive energy, rich in reggae and dancehall vibes and, thanks to his contribution, also Ska. In “Place Call Salento” he refers also to Sud Sound System, real pioneers of this musical gender in Salento, with great respect, and to Ska Nation Band, that he consider his Italian family. The new single and music video by ReddMan UK, produced by Morello Selecta for Yah Man Records, gives us one of the deepest sounds of the new year and is accompanied by some of the best views in West London. 

The Beat is decidedly scratchy is made up of the DJ and Producer from Salento Morello Selecta and arranged with the virtuous skills of Alessandro Garofalo, historical keyboard player of Sud Sound System. The strong voice of Reddman UK creates a song with a historical significance for international Dancehall / Hip Hop music. 

"Dancehall Rapper" is a tale of history that the Salento label wanted to retrace to tell the evolution of musical reproduction, moments of history, and moments of music. Audiocassettes, CDs and Mp3s, up to IG and Youtube, each of these instruments has marked the tempo of the music and continues to tell important parts of musical history. 

Thanks to the direction of Leonardo Urso, it is easy to fall in love with a city so changeable and full of surprises like London. The red sky behind Reddman UK leaves no room for anything else but to awaken the amarcord of each of us, with a text that in a few moments makes us jump into the analog past to return quickly to the digital present. The London twilight leaves us suspended to admire the disruptive beauty of nature above the city; skyscrapers are the masters, but thanks to music, they can become a magical place to tell a story. Every little hidden corner can give a further face to this metropolis.
