YAHZARAH LEGEND TAKE 1

It was shortly after we all found out what a real threat COVID19 was. there was a tension in the air. having been on the road for 8 months performing 6 shows a week I was 20 pounds lighter and weaker than usual while recovering from what I now know to have been covid- 19) I was just starting to feel like myself again. And really needed a release. 

This special evening in Paris when my good friend and fellow Ghanian T. Michael Bergen (bespoke tailor/ designer/ artist co owner of Norwegian Rain) let me turn his Norwegian Rain Paris location into a shrine. 
And I shared songs from my upcoming release #YahZarahTheCeremony with some of the most incredible artists, and taste makers in Paris. 

Performing from a stool to save strength. I found a sweetness in my voice I hadn’t tapped into before on the stage because I had to focus on what counted ...my gift. We lifted the room that night… 
I told my story and for a few hours we in the warmth of T. Michael’s store a wooden sanctuary in Paris we shared and put the world outside on pause… 

It is said that Sage cleans a room of scattered and negative energy and that Cedar turns any space into a sanctuary…. 
And that together their efforts sweeten all space… 
After 10 years of waiting I am preparing to finally release 
my project “THE CEREMONY” … 
But first lets sweeten the space <3

Of a show done out of pure love, in a space 
made out of pure love…

Dana Nicole Amma Williams (born June 24, 1980), is known professionally as Yahzarah, is a Ghanian American singer and music producer. She is known for radio hits "Wishing" and "Why Dontcha Call Me No More". In 1997, she began her career as a background singer for Erykah Badu.

In 2000, Yahzarah signed to Keo Music Records released her first album, Hear Me. In 2002, Yahzarah signed a recording contract with Three Keys Music and released her second album, Blackstar, in September 2003. In 2004, Yahzarah left Three Keys Music and join The Foreign Exchange. After a brief hiatus, Yahzarah returned the music industry. In 2008, she released her extended play, The Prelude, on the +FE Music recording label. In January 2010, Yahzarah released her single "Why Dontcha Call Me No More" followed by her third album, The Ballad of Purple St. James in May 2010.

Her musical genre has varied throughout her career including R&B, rock, acoustic, soul, jazz, and pop. Her artistic influences include Michael Jackson, Minnie Riperton, Prince, and The Beatles. She has a soprano vocal range with the ability to utilize the whistle register.
Currently band support for the artist Lenny Kravitz.
