The national broadcasting corporation (KBC) in Kenya played soukous and rhumba everyday at 7am, 1pm and 4pm. As such, many Kenyans grew up on Congolese music. This kind of music brings back memories of getting ready for school (if the session began while you are still at home, you were LAAATE), lunch hour (we went back home for lunch - this time, if the session ended before you left the house, do not even bother!), and many more fond times.
This soukous all stars mixtape features arguably the baddest rhythm guitarist in the continent of Africa, Dally Kimoko. He has virtually worked with all soukous (ndombolo and rumba)artists in the Congo (and beyond) including Pepe Kalle, Koffi Olomide, Madillu, Yondo Sister, Diblo Dibala, Lokassa, Arlus Marbele...and more.
