Following  in  the  wake  of  "Leland"  (2012),  the  critically  acclaimed  full  length  debut  by  label  founder  Francis Harris,  Scissor  and  Thread  is  proud  to  announce  the  November  18th  vinyl  release  of  "You  Can  Always Leave,"  Harris'  first  material  under  his  own  name  since,  and  the  first  hint  of  his  anticipated  sophomore  LP , "Minutes  of  Sleep,"  due  February  2014.  The  new  single  portends  the  mood  of  the  ensuing  album,  a  further foray  into  Harris'  signature  blend  of  house,  modern  classical,  shoe-­gaze  and  noise  which  is  the  artists  most ambitious  and  accomplished  work  to  date.  As  the  sole  dance  floor  moment  on  the  LP,  "You  Can  Always Leave"  picks  up  where  Harris'  cult  hit  "Lostfound"  left  off,  with  vocals  once  again  from  Danish  vocalist  Gry Bagøien  and  the  heartbreakingly  august  trumpet  of  No  Regular  Play's  Greg  Paulus.  The  remarkable  Terre Thaemlitz  delivers  an  epic  12  minute  remix  on  the  flip  under  his  DJ  Sprinkles  guise  which  is  sure  to  make this  12inch  a  sought  after  piece  for  house  music's  analog  enthusiasts.

Having already featured on a previous Constant Circles release, the label welcomes back Danish producer Nandu, with 'Love You Till The End' long player, an infusion of experimental House and Techno - this renowned artist who many will recognise from his stellar releases on label such as Baile Musik, Kindisch and OFF Recordings.

Passion, heart and musical craftsmanship are the qualities that make Nandu an original and intelligent artist. With roots in Copenhagen but a sound moulded from the darkest dancefloors of Berlin, his unique take on eloquent Techno and Electronica is quickly catching the attention of the underground elite, with support by everyone from Groove Armada to Re.You.

They say that love looks not with the eyes but with the mind and with his debut album titled “Love You Til The End” it’s clear that Nandu had a vision now realised, taking us on a journey of sounds created from the hand and from the heart. Thought provoking, this stunning album tells a story of life and love plus all that comes in between.

Perfect from start to finish, this incredible album fuses ambient Electronica with dancefloor focused melodic Techno that is in places reminiscent of James Holden and his forward thinking Border Community project. Distinctively individual, it pushes musical boundaries and is impossible to pigeon hole.

Matt Edwards’ reissue label R-Time Records presents ‘After Dark’ this September with three tracks from Mark The 909 King. 

Following reissues of excellent music by Sir Lord Commix, FBK and Sanasol (Thor & Yagya), Rekids offshoot R-Time Records now presents definitive cuts from Mark The 909 King. Debuting with the timeless ‘Can You Dig It!’ on Sex Trax in ’94, the producer went on to release via a number of New York house legend DJ Duke’s labels throughout the mid-nineties. A huge fan of DJ Duke since the 90s, Matt Edwards even held a Sex Mania night at Berghain in 2009 featuring a rare DJ performance from the Duke himself. 

Alongside tracks by Roy Davis JR and Trackman (Jon Cutler), ‘After Dark’ featured as part of a VA release on the label DJ Exclusive, whilst ‘Into Space’ landed on Rated X Records, and ‘The Loft’ appeared on the ‘Can You Dig It’ album via Power Music Records. 

‘After Dark’ set the tone of the package with a piercing drum groove, airy arpeggios and a funky bassline, before cosmic synths and crunchy snares work alongside scintillating chords in ‘Into Space.’ Concluding the package, ‘The Loft’ begins with a hooky bass sequence and filtered effects before soothing melodies come into play.

What started as a one-off record in 2018 now becomes a steady project. With a second release on the ominous WSNWG imprint Rødhåd keeps building a platform for collaboration tracks that emerged from exchanging ideas and intense hours of working together in the studio. For the second installment Rødhåd invited Dystopian member Alex.Do to his Berlin studio. The two producers share a long friendship and now release their first EP together. “WSNWG 002“ contains 4 tracks, self-paced mindbenders evoking subtle mood shifts against a somber backdrop. The moment before everything turns dark is set to music here.
