We are excited to welcome Australian artist Moontide to the Earthly Measures family with his truly beautiful EP 'Dreams Within Dreams' including remixes from Kusht and ourselves.

Dreams Within Dreams is built entirely from field recordings captured in churches, temples, and other places of ritual. The EP marks Moontide's use of exclusively analog synthesisers for the drums and melodies, which respond to these recorded environments.

The work explores the acoustic properties of these intentional spaces, their reverbs, silences, and ambient textures. Each track layers these field recordings with analog synthesis, creating compositions that exist somewhere between documentation and interpretation.

Gaze bridges Berlin and Iran, blending Behrooz Zandi’s roots with Tiefe Wasser Berlin’s Contemporary Mantra. Warm, emotional, and oriental in spirit, the track features the resonant Oud and Lena’s soft vocals. Its lyrics circle around intimacy and presence, gazing into another’s face, another’s eyes, capturing the timeless moment where two worlds meet for just one hour.

The “Fake Lines: Sono Levant” compilation confronts this colonial legacy head on, especially as the genocide in Gaza is enabled by the fragmentation of surrounding countries into pseudo states; products of imperial divide and conquer tactics that leave them stripped of real sovereignty. The majority of proceeds will go directly to support @apnorg’s “Revive Gaza's Farmland” project, providing seeds, cultivation, and fair access to markets for farmers in G/a/z/a, while the rest is fairly distributed among the participating artists.

Strange, rarefied atmospheres bloom on ‘Canto De Pájaro’ – the second single from Arto’s forthcoming latin-experimental project

We can say confidently that this song from Danish producer, singer and multi-instrumentalist Arto Louis Eriksen is one of the most enigmatic works we’ve had the pleasure of releasing on our label.
 
A recording of choral voice, body percussion, djembe drum and bottle blowing might sound like a bit of light-hearted tinkering. It is anything but. A strange work of strangely ceremonial air, ‘Canto De Pájaro’ arranges its elements with both precision and intimacy. Arriving as if from some other world, fully formed and inexplicable.
 
The song is the second single from Arto’s forthcoming project, described as a freewheeling mix of Latin and Caribbean folk sounds:
 
“The album was conceived during a two-week long high where everything felt open and possible.
 
I didn’t know exactly what I was doing, but I was following a feeling. I was filled with an ecstatic gratitude for life and wanted to make music that could lift everything and everyone.
 
Highlife, Samba and Calypso were swirling around in my head so the album became a mix of those vibes, created in a state of pure happiness and surrender.”
 
The album, titled Qué Vida Feliz, will be released next summer on Music For Dreams.
 
When Arto is not immersed in prolonged quasi-spiritual explorations of new genres, he is producing songs for some of Denmark’s biggest names in pop music: Tobias Rahim, Andreas Odbjerg, Drew Sycamore, Gilli, Icekiid, Bbybites and Burhan G. Arto has previously released music under the moniker Yo Johnny.
