Rob Yale is from Toronto, and has been a professional musician and pianist since the age of eighteen when he auditioned for a band after answering an ad posted on the bulletin board at a downtown rehearsal studio.  After many successful years of live performance with such diverse acts as Buffy Sainte-Marie, Jane Siberry, Cano, and Dianne Dufresne, Rob began working as a studio musician.  He quickly developed a reputation as an innovator in the field of electronic music, and was the first person in Canada to make use of the Fairlight CMI (Computer Musical Instrument) for performance and composition.
His growing reputation in this highly demanding field made Rob the first-call Fairlight programmer for both Album and Jingle Producers. Among the artists on whose albums he has performed, are David Bowie, Bruce Cockburn and Jane Siberry.
