Another full moon, another episode of OSCUR Podcast. 
This time we have one of our own...
Head of OSCUR Podcast Yaleb Villalobos, draws on years of experience in the Minneapolis Techno & House scene to create fun, fluid vinyl mixes and original tracks. His latest creative endeavors have led him down the rabbit hole of analog production with both new and vintage synthesizers & drum machines. These organic sounds dominate his latest compositions, incorporating deep & spacey ambiance with groovy long sequences and dark energetic melodies. Yaleb is passionate about curating musical experiences that bring you joy & open your ears to new sounds.
Yaleb recently co-founded the Huehuecoyotl Collective, a live-performance experience guiding listeners to explore the convergence of Pre-and Post-Colonization sounds. Their performances integrate analog synthesizers and pre-Hispanic instruments native to Mexico and Central America, with a goal of educating and exposing modern citizens to ancient auditory culture and the dichotomies of everyday life.

Bio: 
Inspired by the sounds of deep and acid techno of the late 90's, Yaleb Villalobos is one of the fastest up and comers in the Minneapolis techno scene. In only a few short years he has shared the bill the likes of DJ ESP Woody McBride, Joy Beltram, Tony Rohr (New York), Itzon (Mexico City), Dustin Zahn (Enemy Records), Timefog heads James Patrick and Mike Gervais and Steven Seuling aka Centrific head of Intellephunk Minneapolis.

Home to some of the most infamous rave parties in the mid and late '90, DJ's and promoters such as Woody McBride, Zak khutoretsky aka DVS1 (Hush Productions), Yaleb fell in love with his new hometown of Minneapolis. While going out to the local techno parties put on around town, one person took particular interest in this budding talent. Head of the Eccentric Beats promotion company and former editor of 365 Magazine (UK), Phil Martinez offered Yaleb the opportunity to play at one of his residencies. Here Yaleb was able to blend his Latin roots with music ranging from tribal and tech-house to techno and minimal. As the years passed, Yaleb was able to established a sound of his own, in which in an era of countless techno sub-genres, Yaleb's sound falls into the category of groovy, intense, deep and spacey sounds.

As the opportunities to play at clubs throughout the city increased, Yaleb teamed up with Cesar Acosta, to form the "MEXIKAN TEKNO MAFIA" (MTM). A group that in the recent year has multiplied, adding people like: Luis Flores (DROID), Fixon Moheno, Raul Rodiguez AKA Komprezzor live. All together form part of the MTM crew.

Recently MTM has team up with labels such as DROID and Blank Code ( Detroit ) trowing parties in Midwest, and will definitely will continue growing without a doubt.
