It all started with the piano which took me about 1 to 2 hours to compose. After the piano I begin layering it with ambience such as blur pads, a string that's hiding in the back, textures and even a reverse piano. After building this foundation I began by adding melodies that complemented the overall progression. Once these elements where in place I layout the setting such as the intro, verse and build. I started the climax by constructing the drum pattern, made up of percussions, textures such as paper, and a moving hihat. Everything was coming together but I figured some vocals could impact the climax and after experimenting, these reverse vocals really made the entire track in my opinion. All I needed now was the bass. This bass contains 3 components, a saturated bass with no lows or mids that serves as the high information, a sub bass for lows and a mid bass I made with Harmor for texture. Last I added details, effects, and even more melodies like a flute you might've miss that is tucked on the left side during the climax. After working on this collaboration for a while, we finally completed Twilight. It all started with the piano you hear in the beginning which was sent to me by Snowzard. I then build around this piano and added other elements like the plucks, lead, vocal chops and eventually the drums. Snowzard then later structure out the track Creating a beautiful intro, structuring the verse and drop while also adding necessary effects. He then sent the stems to me where I ended up adding and designing a bass for the drop with the plugin Harmor. Hope you guys enjoy this track!

Took me about 2 weeks to complete this project hope you guys enjoy this old school chillstep track. Next time I'll throw my shots at the new style of chillstep. 
 
Intro
I began this project by composing the piano. I was aiming for movement with this piano instead of the typical sustained chords. I wanted a 3 note introduction so I made sure to choose my 3 notes before actually building the progression. After about 2 hours I was contempt with the piano. Later I added those heavy reverb plucks you hear in the beginning.

Verse / Layers
 I then added a sidechain sustained guitar to fill the mids a bit more which is something Blackmill does in some of his tracks. You wont hear it but you'll feel it. After that I added a pitch bending lead with an arp. I then added the girl vocals to keep that old school vibe.

Drop
For the drop I began by choosing my kick and Snare which of course I ended up changing several times as the track progressed. Then I added the percs, cymbals, and high hats. After that I added a half step chord pluck to give it some rhythm which you'll often hear in reggae. Later I recorded myself singing to then chop my vocals into the drop. Last I created a bass with Harmor like always and layered in the sub. 

Conclusion
Of course this is a brief overview however I did my best to explain some of the main elements of this track. For anyone curious you can hear me singing at the end which is also a section of what I use in the vocal chops.

Yal!X - Sand Dunes

I'm excited to share one of my favorite tracks I've produced this year.

The creative process began with a piano composition, which I developed through improvisation on my MIDI keyboard. This initial melody took some time to shape, but it laid a strong foundation for the rest of the piece. I then layered in ambient elements, including pads and synths, all washed in reverb to create a spacious and atmospheric sound.

Building on that, I improvised a second melody using a pluck sound that complements the piano beautifully. Once the melodic elements were in place, I added the rhythm section—drums and bass—to give the track its groove and momentum. With all the core elements complete, I arranged everything into a full song structure.

To bring the track to life, I wrote and recorded the vocals myself using a Shure SM7B microphone and an Apollo Twin X interface.
