This track is the result of a workshop in November 2015 organised by 'Yalla! Khartoum' at Studio 1 in Bahri and was performed on 21.11.2015 at Green Yard in Khartoum, Sudan, during the Yalla! Khartoum Urban Arts Festival.

Zol saghir - Yalla! Khartoum version

The song "African Girl" was written during a workshop in November 2015 organised by "Yalla! Khartoum" with the African-American hip hop artist Akua Naru by a group of 12 female musicians and vocalists. The participants of the workshop founded a band with the name "Salute Yal Bannot" and perform since then together as an all-women band in Sudan.

Yalla! Khartoum cooperates with a range of contemporary urban artists in Sudan. The aim of the project is to support and develop local art scenes and give an insight into creative minds in Sudan. Yalla! Khartoum creates a forum for people to exchange ideas, work on innovative artistic expressions and present their work to people outside their community.
