The introduction between the two parties was made and in late January 2024, Marv delivered the finished track…..ladies and gentlemen, be prepared to be funked all over by this HUGE collaboration between one of the finest horn troupes around and original lyrics written and performed by the powerhouse that is Greg Blackman. Inspired by the sounds of the streets of New Orleans, seven piece brass ensemble, King Brasstards boast an impressive instrument line up including a magnificent sousaphone, trumpets, trombone, percussion and much more. Their first outing was the 2016 ‘Brasstersized Mixtape 1’ and since then, the band have been wowing audiences at festivals the length and breadth of the UK. Their first release on Ramrock, in 2021, was ‘Up All Night’ ft. Lisa Millett and funk legend, Gary Davis. ‘Wait Till The Morning’ 

Greg Blackman is known for his unforgettable voice, his powerful songwriting and his passionate approach to the subjects of his music including mental health and masculinity. No stranger to followers of Ramrock Records, Greg has recently collaborated with Lack of Afro on the hugely successful ‘Loving Arms’ (Bastion Music) which was A Listed on the highly coveted BBC Radio 6 playlist. Greg is also independently releasing one original composition per month for a year on digital platform and Bandcamp – the most recent being, ‘If I did c*caine’.
