Born Jason Morales, on July 25, 1985, in Manhattan, NY. He began singing and composing his own songs at the tender age of six. He diligently practiced for the church choir which he joined in 1990. In his 2 years with choir, Yamiel began to develop his trademark vocal style and intonation. Yamiel has been honing his live performances and song writing skills, as well as recording and   making concert appearances. Yamiel longs to bring his Latin cultural influences to the heart of mainstream Latin Music .
