Srimad Bhagavatam 7.9 

Life in this world is a fearful thing
It crushes like a grinding stone
For the wheel of time brings birth and death
And the feeling of being alone

I was born in a family who denied You, Lord
Ignoring You from the start
That same desire to enjoy life without You
Is the darkness in the core of my heart   

Oh but You have benedictions to give me
Something no one else can do
So I ask one thing be taken away:
The darkness of my forgetting You
 
I am drowning in an ocean of sadness
Lamentation is always near
People I love are taken from me
And troubles I don't want always appear

Still I strive for unending, happy life
But here in this world, that's a fantasy
Because the body I'm living in will die
And this body made of matter isn’t me

On the other side of the River of Death
You are always there somehow
O Lord, on this side I suffer repeatedly
Kindly look upon me now

Your messenger came to say words of Truth to me
I will always serve that person by whose grace I now can see

That it is You who cares for everyone
You who makes our lives secure
For without Your sanction, no parent can protect
And no physician can cure

Only we who are subject to birth and death
Can hardly understand who You are
Yet our senses and minds are made of Your energy
As are the planets and every star    

O Lord, You possess all power
So please excuse the one who was hurtful to me
Only by my own past misdeeds
Was I put into such company

Love of God is the best acquisition
The completion of my soul, it's true
And as Your loving servant, I would never expect
Some reward in return for what I do

But this love for You has caused concern in my heart
For everyone else's happiness
So please, don't liberate me alone
But free all others from all their distress

It is Your form that bestows fearlessness
And Your nature is ever sublime
To remember You and all the things You do
Is to stop the crushing wheel of time
Remembering You stops the wheel of time


Wheel Of Time / Prahlada Maharaja

(from the prayers of Lord Brahma, "Krishna Book" Ch.14)

O Lord Krishna, the most worshipable Supreme Person
Your body is the color of clouds filled with water
Your clothing glitters with a silver-electric aura
A bugle and a cowherd stick are under Your arm
Your flute is tucked, there, beneath Your belt
Garlanded with forest flowers,
You wear a peacock feather upon Your head
Your face is beautiful, and ‘tho You stand before me
With small, lotus-like feet
I cannot estimate Your power and Your greatness
So I offer my humble prayers just to please You

Dear Lord Krishna,
I tried to examine the wonder of Your person
So I stole Your friends and calves
Just to see what You would do
But You have energies that are inconceivable to me
Now all that I can say is just consider today:

I took away your friends and hid them all   
In a moment I came back and found You were all alone
Then and there, You expanded Yourself
Into a set of the very same boys with their calves
Their forms were all Your own

And when these friends each turned into a Vishnu form
Being adored by creators like me
Then I knew You were the Source of everyone
And the Maintainer of everything we see

Suddenly each Vishnu was wound up into You
All by Your invisible command
And there you were, wandering alone again
Searching for Your friends and calves
And eating food out of  Your hand

Thus I saw You outside, and I see you are within
You are where I stop, You are where I begin
Expanding to become each one of us
You then reside, inside, to accompany us
O source and substance of spiritual light
Seeing You, there’s no more beautiful sight
You are where we end, You are where we start
I pray I may always see You in my heart

This material world is like a flashing dream
And its fleeting nature disturbs the minds of everyone
But gaining Your shelter, one no longer lives
in this dream that holds us sway
And the spiritual sky is not at all far away

Though always expanding, You are always complete
No second identity can compete
One may journey through darkness in search of what’s true 
But the best thing is wanting just to be with You
O source and substance of spiritual light
Seeing You, there’s no more beautiful sight
Hearing your glories, we’re never apart
I pray I may always see You in my heart

Eight Pranam-mantras for Srila Gurudeva
Prayers To Śrīla Bhaktivedānta Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja

ajñana timirandhasya jñan anjana ṣalakaya
cakur unmilitam yena tasmai śri gurave namah

I was born in the darkness of ignorance and my divine master opened my eyes with the torch of divine knowledge. I bow down to him. 
1)
vande ‘ham śrī guruvaram
śrī rūpānugā pravaram
vraja-rasa rasikaṁ ca
nārāyaṇam taṁ prapannam

I adore the greatest of divine masters, Śrī Śrīmad Bhaktivedānta Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja; he is the foremost of the followers of Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī and the rūpānuga-guruvarga, and he is always relishing vraja-rasa—I surrender unto him.
2)
śrī guru-caranaṁ vande
ramaṇa preṣṭhāya bhūtale
rūpānugā bhaktidaṁ ca
kṛpa murti nārāyaṇam

I bow down to the lotus feet of the embodiment of mercy, Śrī Śrīmad Bhaktivedānta Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja; he is dearly loved by Śrī Ramaṇa-bihārī, and he gives the treasure of rūpānugā-bhakti, transcendental spontenous love and devotion to God.
3)
sevā kuñje vraje ramye
govardhana girau sadā
rādhā kuṇḍe rasānande
tat tat sevā pradāyakam

Śrīla Gurudeva is eternally residing in the beautiful Sevā-kuñja of Vraja, at Mount Giri Govardhana, and at Rādhā-kuṇḍa lagoon. There, he is immersed in the bliss of nectarean mellows of rasa, and he grants entrance into the service of Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa as Their maidservant.
4)
guruṁ nārāyanākhyam tam
vande vinoda preṣṭhakam
yat pāda smṛti mātrena
dāmodara prasīdati

I pray to Śrīla Gurudeva, Bhaktivedānta Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja, who is very dear to Śrī Vinoda Mañjari. Simply by remembering his lotus feet one pleases Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Damodara.
5)
nārāyaṇam prabhum vande
karuṇāghana vigraham
rāga-mārga bhaktim dattvā
tārayati tribhūvanam

I offer my respects unto Śrīla Bhaktivedānta Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja; he is the reservior of boundless compassion, and he bestows the path of rāga-bhakti, thus delivering the three worlds.
6)
gaurahari paraṁ-preṣṭha
nityānanda abhinnaka
śrī-gaura-nārāyaṇa bhakta-
bāndhava priya-sevaka

“Śrī Gaura Nārāyaṇa is very dear to Gaurahari and is a non-different manifestation of Nityānanda Prabhu. He is the friend of all devotees and the dearest of sevakas.”
7)
nārāyaṇam gurum-vande
śaranyam bhakta-bāndhavam
gaura-manobhiṣṭam pūrnam
rādhā-dasyam-pradāyakam

I offer prayers unto Śrīla Gurudeva, Bhaktivedānta Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja, who, as Bhakta-bāndhava, is the most worthy shelter for everyone. He fulfills the inner-heart desire of Gaurahari and bestows rādhā-dasyam, the position of being Rādhārānī’s intimate maidservant.
8)
rūpānugācarya-varyaṁ
rūpa-mañjari-preṣṭhakam
patita-pāvana-bāndhava
yugācarya nārāyaṇam

Śrīla Gurudeva is the foremost of the Ācāryas in the line of Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī in the present era, and is the dearmost of Śrī Rūpa Mañjari. He purifies the fallen through his friendship, and he is the principle spiritual preceptor of this age.
