Blue Flamez shared his stunningly powerful story of the evolution of his musical project, his inspirations, and his strong message of resilience and empowerment. This episode marks the three year anniversary of Learning to Grow and what a way to honor the land for which we all reside upon.

Blue Flamez was born and raised on the Warm Springs Nation located in central Oregon. It was during his formative years that he developed a passion for rhyme and beats. With the tragic passing of his older brother during Scott's childhood a healing ceremony took place where he derived the name Blue Flamez for his musical project. With that, a career sparked which led Blue Flamez to winning a Native American Music Award (NAMA) for best music video! Despite his success as a burgeoning hip hop artist Blue Flamez decided to stay on his home turf of the Warm Springs Nation. It has been his passion for helping others, inspiring resilience, and empowerment which fuels the blue flames in Scott Kalama's heart.
