Hokkaido Crimes

This album is the product of consistent and dedicated work throughout this past year. It represents a significant catharsis as I transition into what many consider an "adult" life. I've gone through many changes and I felt that the only way to make sense of it was to make this record. 

I've grown as a musician and producer; drawing inspiration from 16th century poetry, hyper-dystopian aesthetics, science fiction, and the ever changing underground internet culture. Having also produced this album during the final semesters of my undergraduate career, it also reflects a certain detachment from childhood and my teenage years. The haunting and stark realities of the "real world" defined this album and allowed me to move on to a more mature stage in my life. 

Far be it from me to attach any emotional connotations to this album, but I felt that a background of why it was created would be important to you as a listener. As with any work of art, interpret it at your discretion. Thank you for listening.
