Filled in for someone who missed their DJ slot at the Glitter Ranch Campout this past Fourth of July week and got to play poolside again at the lovely Camp Silver Spur property! 🙌

At this point the left tempo slider was kicking my tracks and/or going to the last cue point if I touched it while a track was playing, and I think the left deck kicked my first 3-4 tracks in the first 10-15min of me hopping on (thankfully on beat, so at least people didn't really notice... I think it must have gotten wet?). 

We also discovered that the main sound wasn't plugged in at the beginning of my set, likely when I turned down the monitors (and headphones) because I still have sensitive hearing. Thankfully my friends jumped in, and I was able to share some more music 😅❤️

I wanted to play the last track included here when I played poolside, but the DJ after me reminded me that I "wasn't even on the schedule" and declined my request. Anyway, happy to include another @avrosse banger at the end of this rework 💪

YamYams has had the joy of playing various festivals, campouts, and 40+ venues across five US states, including Burning Man 2023, San Francisco Pride 2023, Cascadia NW Music & Arts Festival 2025, various fundraisers for Opulent Temple and the official Burning Man org, and SeaCompression 2024 & 2025 (Seattle's official Burning Man Decompression event).

Born in Hawaii, YamYams grew up mostly studying classical music and jazz while singing and playing the piano, clarinet, and guitar with various bands around the San Francisco Bay Area. She found her way to electronic music via a then new love for drum and bass, eventually building a square-wave synthesizer from scratch while studying physics in college. YamYams also managed various touring artists for ~20 years before finally starting to play out and tour herself in 2022.

YamYams grew up on 90s hip hop and R&B and has always had a soft spot for classic rock, punk rock, and symphonic death metal. YamYams loves most forms of music and says she typically plays “house,” but that’s been known to include afro and latin beats along with influences from her classical & jazz music backgrounds and things like hip hop, breaks, and techno. Some friends say YamYam's style can be described as "open genre."
