Filburts Label O*rs veröffentlicht in Kooperation mit Present Books in diesem Sommer eine Novelle von Yannick Labbé. Krätze ist das erste Buch des Berliners, der euch als eine Hälfte von Trickski bekannt sein dürfte. Wie Dreck unterm Fingernagel beschreibt das Buch die kleinen düsteren Menschlichkeiten im Leben des Protagonisten: Drogen, Sex, seelische Abgründe. Ein Buch, wie der Kater nach dem Rausch einer zu langen Clubnacht. Den Soundtrack zur Novelle hat der Autor ebenfalls mitgeliefert und den gibt es im Paket über Bandcamp dazu. Kathi hat Yannick Labbé für ihre neue Folge TalkTalk zur Buchbesprechung geladen und lernt: Krätze ist nicht nur eine Krankheit, Krätze steckt in uns allen. Freshly after their 'Ghost Trance EP' on Huntleys + Palmers' sub-label Belters Augusburg residents Dominik Marz and David Kochs compiled the latest art:cast and come in with a deeply held and tightly squeezed progressing piece that can rather be determined by minutes thus length than it's musically flamboyance. The 56 minute lasting showdown, or belter, depicts the artists' musical state of mind in the most charming and sensitive way as it unites various genres or approaches as fluent, almost musically eloquent as Hemingway juggles with words in The Old Man and the Sea. Starting with deeply kept tunes, setting the tone of Marz & Kochs' art:cast experience, the duo follows a stringent build-up with rising tension, switching from home-listening to almost club-moments and coming back to those deep chords from the beginning – just with leaving the listener in a different state. Kochs and Marz haunt through music as stylistically confident as to create some more ghost trance.

When he came to his senses and opened his eyes from the excessive harsh light, for a long time he could not understand where he was. Everything around seemed somehow strange, the trees had strange shapes, the grass was some kind of unnaturally rusty red, the sky had a poisonous-violet hue, the sounds did not lag behind of that he saw, some kind of half-acid birdsinging , the rustle of grass was somehow metallic, and then he remembered where he was, and get  horrified - is this really true? and a gust of wind flying past “whispered” to him with a sort of destructively grating sound - “yes my friend, welcome to Sucksonia". 
German futuristic label Rat Life for its seventeenth reference invites  two EBM warriors from Leipzig - Westlake & Hayter with their debut EP "Sucksonia". Made in best traditions of EBM, acid and proto techno it will bring you to some not so special part of Germany. Collabs between Dominik Marz and Yannick Labbé have been dropping regularly since months now. The guys’ associative approach to techno is a quirky mix of grit and grace that aims for greatness. Their new release on Feines Tier is no exception: The three tracks are an invitation to lose oneself in textures, sounds, melodies – all wrapped up in loop-based arrangements. As a bonus, @dc-salas delivers a remix that injects a proper dose of techno and turns the track „meaning“ into a peaktime rocker that, well, how should we put it… bangs. A lot.
