Juanito debuts on Jamie Jones’ Hottrax with ‘Tchoukar’ this October. 
Born in France and now based in Barcelona, Juanito has previously released on Moon Harbour, CUFF, Stereo Productions, Nervous and Armada, with his music picking up support from Matthias Tanzmann, Paco Osuna, Marco Carola, and of course, Jamie Jones. Now landing on Jones’ Hottrax imprint, the Barcelona-based DJ/producer readies two killer house tracks for his first appearance on the label. 

Leading the release, the title cut ‘Tchoukar’ brings rolling low-end, tripped-out FX, and glistening pads under razor-sharp drums and vocal snippets for a rousing club track. ‘No Joy’ follows with another late-night jam, bringing textured, oddball percussion together with rubbery basslines and wonky vocals. 

“Both tracks were produced with the idea in mind to send them to Jamie for his labels, so I worked with some key elements: groove, sexy vocals, striking synths. To make them even more special, I put a significant name on the lead track ‘Tchoukar’ - it means ‘amazing’ in my local home town dialect: Grenoble, France” - Juanito. 

Juanito ‘Tchoukar’ drops on 7th October 2022 via Hottrax.

Hottrax presents Tripleution Part 3' is the next edition of the label's ongoing compilation series, once again providing a platform for three records highlighting Jamie Jones' legendary tastemaking. 

Bringing the heat first is Pasquale Caracciolo, with the Italian DJ and producer offering the same type of sounds which have made Pete Tong and Loco Dice supporters. With its echoing drum pads, tapped beat switches and the static distortion of its vocal sample, opener 'In To The Space' does damage. 

'Jack Your Body' from LA's SHADED, who has previously released on Jones’ Hot Creations, follows with chunky sub bass and funk-inspired grooves. Then finally, Ciclo's 'Burn in Paradise' sees the artist return to Hottrax, delivering a punchy track with tightly sequenced hi-hats and hypnotic drum rhythms created for late-night club sessions. 

‘Hottrax presents Tripleution Part 3’ drops on Hottrax 15th September 2023.

Cécille Records celebrates its fiftieth release with label head Nick Curly’s forthcoming ‘Altrip’ EP
From running his imprint 8Bit to curating his ‘Trust’ events which he's taken from Sonus Festival to Watergate, Cécille Records’ co-founder Nick Curly (who runs Cécille with Marc Scholl) is helping celebrate its milestone fiftieth release with his ‘Altrip’ EP. Unveiling two new tracks and a rework from Manda Moor known for her Paradise residency, and reaching number one on Beatport’s top 100 release chart with her Hot Creations ‘Picante’ EP, it marks a historic moment for the Mannheim-based label.
With chunky sub-bass complimented by its punchy drum programming, the title-track ‘Altrip’ starts the EP, while ‘It’s You And Me’ keeps the same pounding energy, with rolling note arpeggios and scuttling percussion moving through its mix. Then Manda Moor’s ‘Burning Remix’ of ‘Altrip’ injects her high-octane sounds into the original with ravey stabs, pan drums and diced vocal samples.
In the last quarter of the year, Cécille Records is relaunching its event series in collaboration with Peoples Agency, and two official dates have emerged which will mark its start. Alongside Nick Curly, artists like Sidney Charles, Manda Moor, Leon, Dennis Quin, Fabe, and many more will be joining them, launching at a 2000-capacity Groove Fest London-owned tent, as well as at ADE with the promoter Hush at Melkweg Club in Amsterdam.

Jamie Jones has always been a forward-thinking A&R, as he proves with this series, which shines a light on the best talent currently out there, often with a focus on the darker side of the dance floor.

Pacha Ibiza resident and increasingly vital house artist Calvin Clarke kicks off with the punchy 'Catch A Vibe.' It's a seductive late-night house sound with whirring synths and a detached vocal that bleeds in and out over crisp kick drums and razor-sharp percussion. Young Chilean star Lucas Moss is an exciting new name with releases on labels like Solid Grooves Raw, Roush Label and Drumma Records. His brilliant 'Disko Papi' is a hooky cut with woodpecker-like bass stabs and sleazy vocals. The drums are raw and kinetic
for maximum dance floor impact.

Last of all is London's Niteplan, an artist with an all-encompassing underground background and a discerning ear for tidy grooves. His '6 In The AM' is a gritty after-hours cut with paranoid vocals panning
about the mix and slapping hits. It has an alluring atmosphere that is perfect for those freakier moments.

This is another vital selection of innovative house sounds from Hottrax.
