Today we share with you Module One's perception of Far Blue. Besides putting together very thoughtful mixes, Module One is a stellar producer as well. To build his own very personal story, he decided to go all original on his one hour long Far Blue concept titled 'Lost in Translation'. 

"The title of the mix is inspired by the linguistic phenomenon of losing or changing the context due to differences in languages and cultures, but for me that metaphorically relates to music where every listener has an individual perception and is able to hear the things the others cannot."

Join us in the next episode of our musical adventures. The artist of podcast 037 is smoothly building bridges between repetitive beats and dynamic journeys. He is offering us a space to introduce new sound escapades, shifting energy levels and providing novel sonic dimensions. 

Thomas Stieler. Is there anything better for a good party than a passionate, authentic and open-minded DJ with long-standing production skills? Not really. Thomas Stieler combines these three
virtues par excellence – a perfect match for any house music lover. House is his sound, his world, his permanent stimulus and has been so for the past 15 years.

Having grown up in the district town Saalfeld in East-German Thuringia, he was already collecting records before he even owned a record player – surely a sign for true vinyl and music love. From 2005 on he got his first gigs and quickly became a household name for his ambitious and subtly grooving DJ sets.

But Thomas wanted to dive even deeper into his favourite music and leave his own traces. That's why he started producing his own tracks which were very well received. So he was even more motivated to continue on his own path.

Not fussed about short-lived hypes and instead inspired by both old and new records, Thomas Stieler has since found his signature sound: house in all its facets – classic, deep, minimal, full of drive and sometimes even close to techno.

As a DJ he enthuses the crowd with his fine intuition for tracks that fit the mood and are mixed into each other both elegantly and electrily – the typical Stieler transitions. And these transitions can be enjoyed live on a regular basis, amongst others in some of the best international clubs.

Even if Thomas has moved to Munich by now, he remains loyal to his East German roots – not only as resident DJ of the legendary Leipzig club Distillery, but also as a permanent member of the Paracou crew surrounding Mathias Kaden. His friendship with Mathias also resulted in his good connection to Muna, one of the longest-standing clubs in Germany and to Freude am Tanzen, the renowned house label from Jena which released one of Thomas' first EPs. „Balcony Sessions“ became his introduction for numerous further well- liked releases on record labels like Lauter Unfug Musik, Rotary Cocktail Recordings, Biotop and Blind Vision Records. And it won't stop there. Because so much is for sure: the passionate and open-minded journeys of Thomas Stieler will continue.

Masterminded by Ricardo Villalobos and named after a group of Russian revolutionaries, laptop supergroup Narod Niki made their debut at MUTEK in 2003. Using the then, relatively new Ableton Live software to network their live jam, some of the biggest names in techno participated in this auspicious performance: Ricardo Villalobos, Richie Hawtin, Akufen, Robert Henke, Dimbiman, Dandy Jack, Cabanne, Luciano and Daniel Bell.

Sascha Flux (Twisted Frequency / Attitude Recs) had his stage debut back in 1998 at the 'Backyard Club', the hotspot for excellent electronic music on the island of Koh PhaNgan in Thailand. After a short time he became a resident-dj and played more than 50 gigs at this unique venue and at their special parties deep in the jungle or on secret beaches around the island.
He quickly made himself a well known name on Koh PhaNgan, resulting in a residency at the infamous Fullmoon-Party.
Those experiences with internationally mixed up crowds in some really special moments, gave his dj-ing this extraordinary note, which eventually helped him to soon become a well known dj in Germany and other countries aswell.

Now after more than 15 years on stage, Sascha played countless gigs in different kind of clubs, parties or festivals all over Germany, in Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Netherlands, Israel, Hungary, Indonesia, Thailand and other places.
Also his gigs on the techno stages of well known festivals such as the Fusion Festival or Wonderland Festival proved his great variety.
Even if rooted in progressive house, he's not limited to one particular style as he also features the deeper sides of tech-house, minimal techno, minimal electro and other sounds with that certain deepness or progressive feel, he's known and loved for.

In 2008 his debut EP 'Never Trust The Drugweib' (Dezign Music,Greece) got released and gained him first recognition as a producer.
His first vinyl release, a remix on Tomic's 'Taktgefuhl EP' (Fraud Recordings,Germany), climbed up to No#1 on the Juno Records (UK) Progressive House charts.
His second EP 'Plateau Playground' got released on Attitude Recordings from Canada and took a deeper electro-tech direction.
Appearances on well known labels such as Baroque Records (UK) and Twisted Frequency (UK) followed and there are more to come.

Born in Frankfurt and now based in Berlin, producer and label owner Yapacc joined the electronic music scene and dancefloors with his sound since the early 90s. His interest in music was born by his experience with analogue electronics at a very young age. He wrote and released his first maelstrom recordings EP in 1997 under the techno duo pseudonym «Electrasmus». This was followed by a track at the Frankfurt's art label Poet Club Recording for the compilation «Inside 2» alongside Brian Eno, Shantel and Apex.

Henceforth emerged more than 250 releases by over 80 labels such as Neuton, Perlon, Wir/Treibstoff, Brise and Lucidflow, and remixes for Ricardo Villalobos, Italoboyz, Pascal Feos, 2raumwohnung and many more.

Since 2003 is yapacc has also been a member of the project «Narcotic Syntax» with James Dean Brown, which is has been an important part of the Perlon history. In the same year they released their first Perlon 036 «Ping Pong Voodoo», which was followed by plenty more on compilations and live analogue performances up until the present day.

Yapacc has impressed many international clubs and their visitors with his intensive and organic live performances at venues such as Panorama Bar, Fabric London, Watergate, Love Parade Berlin, Time Warp, Sonar Festival,Bar 25/Kater Holzig, Tresor, Harry Klein, Fuse Club, Studio 80, U60311, Airport, Bar Americas, Mix Club, Bootleg, The Bunker (nyc), Harvest Festival (ca), Fusion Festival, Closer Club, Propaganda Club, amongst many more.

He also hosts the weekly held event «Chapeau Klack» in different Berlin locations.

Recently he founded the project "The Cabin" and the label «Pfand» with partner Hal Wong. Pfand will regulary release vinyls for club and listening platforms. Yapacc also has current projects with Argenis Brito, Sierra Sam, GummiHz and Luca Torre.

Beside his musical activities he works together with «MFB — Manfred Fricke Berlin», creating analog synthesizers and drum machines.
