The 78s featured in this mix range from the early teens to the late 1950s, and are just a small selection of what was available during that time period. You’ll hear traditional songs, as well as some obscure titles and performances. The styles include Cải lương from vietnam, a sort of traditional opera and pleng ka from Cambodia, traditional wedding music, Lakon Basak, a type of theater similar to Chinese opera; Reung Ayai, a type of male and female vocal duet that is used to tell stories and entertain – The Khmer Record Archives

Written by Berlin-based producer Linus Nicholson, aka Ausschuss, 'Room1' is a decidedly sci-fi take on electroacoustic experimentation — a grainy exodus into wistful neoclassical compositions and data-moshed found-sounds. At times the EP calls to mind Mica Levi’s Under The Skin soundtrack with its icy and foreboding soundscapes. Opener ‘Drown Later’ begins with caustic splashes of ambience, skittish percussion swaying to and fro lazily. Then there are tracks like ‘Blinding Partner’, a looming and sinister presence full of windswept drones and howling incantations.

With the release due on November 2nd, the Milan-based label generously offered up an exclusive preview of title track, a head-spinning mesh of granulated chimes, undulating low-end and gravelly atmospherics.

Premiere: Ausschuss - Room1 [Haunter Records]

In the summer of 2016, I put raw meat on the microphone and made a 10-hour binaural recording in the mountain.
In this work, I checked all the sounds of the wings of the flies and edited them into a sound source of about 20 minutes.
Track1, the field recording plus an organ.

2016年の夏、バイノーラルマイクに生肉を乗せて、山の中に放置し、ハエが集まってくる音を10時間に渡って録音しました。本作を作るにあたり、改めてそこからハエの羽音を一つづつ全部チェックし、数日かけて20分にまでエディットしました。そこへオルガンを加えたのが本作です。
Track1はフィールド・レコーディングとパイプオルガン。
Track2はフィールド・レコーディングのみ。
