After an application for an open call I was invited to play the opening of the charity event Sektgarten hosted by the lovely crew of blank with benefits. Absolutely enjoyed the early evening slot in the most beautiful club garden I know, playing some groovy, dubby, deep and soft tunes to sit and drink.

On this note: Love it when there are open calls for artists. It is how my journey started and I continued doing it as a host/booker, always brought the best connections.

a 55 min listening session with p@l+stinI@n field recordings. this piece is a sonic document weaving together: the call to prayer from al-@qs@, a key turning, creaking a door open, a man on horseback crossing dry land, a cassette clicking into place, an imam reflecting on the future of his homeland, a woman preparing hummus in her kitchen, nelson mandela speaking on p@l€stin€ in 1990, and the p@l+stinI@n birdman watching over the w3st b@nk, explaining how people couldn’t prioritise the environment, they had to survive first. the fragments blend with my voice and warm analog synths, accessing collective memories of better times. not to bypass today’s violence and destruction, but to remember: better times are available if humans choose peace and unity.
