I had this idea recorded on the fly on my iphone from a while back and decided to use it for this assignment.  It's 3 drum sounds that always play in the same order, which makes it bleed into the next measure creating 3 variations that take 3 measures to recycle.  the guitar chords take 4 measures, so it takes 12 measures for them to catch up to each other. I believe there was another Junto assignment years ago that played on this idea.  vgmrmojo's weird drum sounds I thought were perfect for the idea because they sort of go along with the sense of randomness the rhythm conveys.

Where a standard accordion uses manual bellows to mimic a lung's in-out breathing patterns, Jensen's Inexorabilis uses a silent air compressor to duplicate the circular breathing feats of a didgeridoo master. Pressure sensitive keys allow the player to control each note's air flow, from sustained flows to brief, percussive spurts. This recording features a rare "whistling" inexorabilis, which employs flute pipes rather than free reeds for the higher octaves.

Relentless Étude No. 2 [disquiet0385]

Thanks so much for everybody who took the effort to provide these samples - it's been fun working with them! My approach was to select some of my favourite samples, and prepare by creating a looped version of each. I then transferred them to modules with sample playback capability on my modular system. The looped samples create a slowly moving bed with the non-looped ones triggered at different pitches with a short envelope.

He pointed out that my having misspelled Disquiet as “Disquier” in the December 19, 2019, project title made him think of “Dischoir,” a possible Junto project. These samples were captured on my Zoom recorder today, using only the things around my house. I tried to incorporate sounds from the things that have been a part of my daily life in isolation; planting seeds, watering plants, closing doors, sanitizing things, making medicinal tinctures from Astragalus and Chaga, cutting my own hair and sewing masks. These drum samples are all sounds from activities I've just mentioned. Some of them have been pitched up or down inside of ableton.
