In this audio, you will hear the Takbirat of Eid, voices rising in praise of Allah’s greatness, as they have for generations. But this year, the echoes of “Allahu Akbar” carry both joy and grief, victory and loss, celebration and mourning.

Eid Al-Fitr 2024 was unlike any other. The genocide in Gaza was still ongoing, and the wounds of Ramadan—the hardest Ramadan on the Ummah—were still fresh. Every Takbir carried the weight of those who were not there to celebrate, those who had been martyred, and those who spent another Eid under the rubble of their homes.

And yet, amidst the sorrow, there was resistance.

This Ramadan, we grieved our martyrs, but we also celebrated the victories of our resistance and the long-awaited return of our freed prisoners from Israeli prisons. Even in mourning, Palestine stood unshaken. Even in pain, its people refused to be broken.

In this sound, you will hear a people who refuse to let their Eid be stolen—because their faith, their resistance, and their love for Palestine are greater than any occupation.
