Brisbane Angst-Pop band, Yaurout, jumped straight into recording during July 8 - 10 with good mate/old mate Jake McNamara at his secluded backyard shack on the Sunshine Coast. 

Originally designed to be four songs (Gruel, Eevee, Nevermind Me, To You), Ponies and Flowerboy were recorded on Sunday the 10th with the momentum of the first two days. This was a bigger pain on Billy, whose hands had several blisters each hand from tracking drums on Friday. 

A lot of the songs' lyrics were made on the day, due to dissatisfaction during vocal tracking, such as: the verses of Eevee, Nevermind Me, and Flowerboy; the bridge for Nevermind Me; the outro of Gruel. James was also forced to hold an equipped guitar while tracking the yells/screams because the sessions were the first time screaming 'solo'  in front of other people. The guitar was used to distract his nerves and attention.
